These kids walkie-talkies have surprisingly good range and good voice quality. Much better than the ones I grew up with. My only wish as a parent is that they had a lower volume setting. they do have adjustable volume. It just doesn’t seem to go low enough. One downside is that they each take four AAA batteries. And if they get left on for a night or a day you can quickly go through a lot of batteries. I recommend getting some rechargeable batteries that way if the kids forget to turn them off, you can just recharge the batteries and the fun continues. 4 stars because I needed to buy $14 worth of rechargeable batteries to make work for the long term. ... show more

It's walkie talkies. I would say that it was annoying to use AAA batteries, and 4 of them! I was more expecting 2x AA batteries. Hope these walkie talkies don't have a high vampire power consumption when off.
