They work well for their intended use. I purchased them as a gift for my granddaughter and I. She is 6. We used them on Halloween when we got separated from her mother, and even though we were many blocks apart, they still worked for us and we met back up. Make sure to keep the walkie on the same channel. It can be a bit confusing for some kids at first, but they’ll get the hang of it once they learn the walkies need to be on the same channel. One of them seems to have a problem with the batteries. I put new batteries in and after a few mins the walkie will turn off, but once I open the battery compartment, and snap the batteries out and back in, it works again. This happens often with only one of the walkies. Besides that, they’re a terrific little fun purchase, which can keep a child(ren) busy for hours of play fun! Besides Halloween, we just use them around the house for play and speaking with one another. We will be using them when we go camping again next year. I bought the pink set. 🙂 ... show more

I got these for my mother and daughter to talk to each other from across the house (my mom lives in MIL suite area, my daughter is 7 and loves to tell grandma everything) it’s so cute to see her chit chatting with her grandma. Work well, lightweight, super cute, easy to use. Great gift idea.

Easy to use, my grandson is four, but we tested out the distance and only got about a city block. It could be user error, but I doubt it. Great for the money.

These walkie talkies really do work well. I bought them for my grandson so we could communicate across house. He loves them and loves the fact that they come with a light he can use at night time should he need to get up for any reason. Now here is the but … the batteries are really difficult to insert. The attached belt clip does not move or come off and it’s in the way of the battery compartment. It makes inserting them difficult. I know this is a design flaw, but it’s a pretty big one. Also, and this is my main complaint, the walkies are draining the batteries even while the units are turned off. We’ve had to change the batteries just after a couple of days. It’s definitely not the batteries as we’ve gone through several packs. I really do like these walkies and just wish they didn’t have these issues. ... show more

I bought this for my four-year-old granddaughter, and it was fun to play with the older kids! We even took it on a road trip between two cars and my granddaughter was able to speak with her mother in the other car very clearly! I was definitely fun to have on the trip!
