Great job keeping coffee as hot as you want it for a good 90 minutes. Three levels of heat. Not good for all day, but if 90 minutes long enough, perfect.

Updated 6/30/24 Mug stopped charging 6/29/24 about 4 months after purchase. Given all the other issues, would NOT recommend. Revising review to 1 star. Original review: We got one of these to keep coffee hot over a fairly long period of time (about an hour). In this, it succeeds though with a couple caveats. First, it's very slick. You need to grab it by the handle, it has slipped out of my hands more than once. You really don't want to be dropping a 60-100 dollar coffee cup. Also, capacity is barely adequate. On the Keurig, it will only hold the middle setting, not large. Adding milk, etc. reduces this further. Finally, and most annoying of all, the charging suffers from a flaw where the cup always turns itself ON once you start charging. This results in A) the cup heating unnecessarily causing wear and B) the charging process taking MUCH longer than needed. Further confounding this annoying charging process, when you initially place the cup on the charger it gives a faint glow and doesn't turn on. So you can't immediately turn it off. It's only after several minutes that it turns on. To be clear - this happens whether or not the cup is actually "on" when you charge it. And to add insult to injury, the automatic turn off motion sensor seems to be DISABLED during charging. The cup doesn't turn off until the battery is fully charged. Hopefully a version 2.0 will address these VERY annoying issues. If the cup worked as advertised, I'd happily pay the normal retail price, which seems to fluctuate wildly between 60-100 USD.

While not a frequent reviewer, I felt compelled to share my experience with the Thermacup. When I am busy in the morning, my coffee or tea would go cold before I finished them. Thermacup exceeded expectations, maintaining a warm temperature the entire time I was drinking. It’s been a long while since I have enjoyed the last sip of my drink as much as the first. -Setting up the cup was so easy. I scanned the QR code on the manual as I despise reading directions. Per the recommendation, I did a charge for about an hour, and then tried out the mug immediately. Actual use, and the settings are very intuitive. -It comes with warnings not to dishwash or microwave it, so it needs to be handwashed, but that isn’t terribly hard. -The mug has a solid feel and is comfortable to hold. My battery lasted well over the 60 min mark on the medium setting. If that isn’t long enough, the coaster is an easy solution. I’m 100% satisfied. One of my best recent purchases. Highly recommended.

I having been looking at mugs, tumblers and heat plates to keep my coffee warm for a while. My SIL was gifted a more expensive version -tumbler and was thrilled with it. So I finally took a deeper dive into these types of mugs. I was doubtful. Well, to my surprise these actually work. Average is 3hrs on low. Low makes my coffee super hot instead of warm and this is with the top on. If you take off the lid then you get 15 to 20min of warm. Things they need to improve on: battery life, the lid opening is small allowing you to sip and you cannot tilt the mug towards you further because the remaining coffee is scalding hot and will leak out. I would think a lid with a wider opening would make it easier to drink. Scalding hot is not great. The temperature should be a low warm setting. On warm feels like on hot, so better temperature control would be better. The other thing that I do not like is that Amazon is not currently selling the charging plate separately. I did go to the manufacturer site and found it for sale, but of course they were sold out. I would still recommend this mug for people who like to take their time with their coffee or tea.

The overall design and quality is very good. Nice feel, and great finish. However, on the lowest setting, it still gets super hot as you get to the end of your drink. I keep having to turn it off/on manually.
