Great butane lighter. Super useful to make plates look more sophisticated than they are.... :D. Also works great to use in wood. Easy to fill up and so far I have not experienced any leaks.It can also be used for soldering but that is not my forte so I have not tried that feature yet.

My previous kitchen torch used small butane canisters; this model requires you to fill it yourself with liquid butane. I was a little worried it might get messy, but it was super easy and frankly a lot less money than the individual canisters. I've only used this to torch creme brulee, but it worked well. The flame was adequate and the safety features were appropriate. I can't speak to heavy duty use, but if you are looking to torch some desserts, this is a solid choice!

Not good for repeated use. Has a really weird trigger mechanism and kind of weak flame. Very compact and durable design, but over-engineered trigger. Can't return it either

I recently picked up this butane torch and I’m really impressed with how it works. When it arrived I didn’t realize it didn’t come with butane so I had to fill it up myself but it was super easy to do. At first I wasn’t sure about the safety lock and the flame adjustments but after a few tries I got the hang of it. The flame is pretty powerful for a small torch. It’s perfect for things like caramelizing sugar on desserts or getting a nice char on roasted veggies. I like that it’s small enough to throw in my bag if I’m going on a camping trip. The only downside is the safety lock can be a bit tricky to use with gloves but it’s not a dealbreaker. If you’re looking for something reliable for cooking or even starting a campfire this torch is a solid choice. It’s easy to use heats up quickly and the adjustable flame is a great feature. Definitely worth it! It’s not too heavy either so my mother who has arthritis was able to use it when we made crème brûlée!

I picked up this LEXIVON Butane Torch Lighter because I was tired of never being able to find a lighter or matches when I needed to light the smoker or grill. So far, it’s been a reliable and well-made tool that I reach for often. The adjustable flame is a great feature, allowing me to control the intensity depending on what I’m using it for. Whether it’s lighting the grill or working on a small kitchen task, it delivers the right amount of heat. One thing that took some getting used to is the safety switch—it requires both hands to operate, which can be a bit awkward at first. However, I’d rather have a solid safety mechanism in place than none at all. Filling it with butane (not included) was quick and easy, and once filled, it lights consistently. The construction feels solid, and considering the build quality, I think the price is fair for what you’re getting. Thus far, I have not noticed any leakage of the butane. If you need a sturdy, refillable torch for grilling, kitchen tasks, or even DIY projects, this one does the job well. Just be prepared to get used to the safety mechanism!
