The Seiko unique Arita ware dial with an elegant luster combines the glossy three-dimensional feel of porcelain, Arita ware tradition with the passion of the predecessor and high strength technology of innovation. Unlike enamel / lacquer / cloisonne made with metal base, the dial itself is sculpted in 3D using a special technique to create a glossy surface. The dial color uses a bluish white that is called "Ash / Quicki". Made from ceramics found in Arita Town / Izumiyama, Japan's first pottery was born in 1616 (2016) (2017). The early ceramic was made with a lot of iron and features a "bluish white" color.
