Despite the manufacturer stating heat output can be controlled via a regulator on the bottom of the unit, that is just an air/fuel ratio adjustment to make sure it's burning clean. I haven't tried using the cooking feature but I bought it to use a few hours at a time in an unheated but well ventilated 200sq ft greenhouse when the nights are too cold (below 24f for my plants,) and it seems to be doing a good job for that. Will raise the temp 5f in about 10 minutes, over an hour for 10f increase. Overall I'm learning to trust it, I have run it about 5 hours total now testing. ... show more

Used this for outdoors. But you’re better off using just a specific use. If your down with your heater. Use this & when you don’t have a stove. You can. But with limited use. This product is also big in size. Hard to pack in your vehicle. Make sure you know dimensions.

Heats up nice. Easy hook up and use. Igniter works great. Puts out alot of heat. Haven't used it to cook with, but we have used it to stay warm in our outside gazebo. Nice heater.

Have had for a year now and while it does use propane quicker than I anticipated - the unit is solid and has been reliable. I do notice a little smell of the Ethyl Mercaptan, but it does not register on any meter so I figure just a reminder hat you are using propane equipment.

We use this heater on our mostly open patio and it provides great heat sitting on the patio table. It's also good to know if we carry it camping, there's no worries about a battery going dead in the striker because it is pulse lite. We contacted customer support with a question and they were great at responding. Good customer service is hard to find anymore, but they obviously know how important it still is.
