Description

A gorgeous cold-and drought-resistant perennial flower that is easy to grow. It grows 3-6 feet tall and blooms in the 2nd year after planting.Start seeds outdoors at the end of the spring or in the fall for flowering next summer or start seedlings indoors 4 weeks before the last frost. For better germination, soak the seeds in warm water for 10-12 hours before planting. Use peat pots as the roots do not tolerate transplanting well. Plant 2-3 seeds in each pot 1/8-inch deep and keep the temperature at 68°F. Water regularly. When the shoots appear, thin to 8-12 inches apart. Harden off before transplanting outdoors. Plant outdoors 10-15 inches apart into well-drained soil in a sunny area, protected from the wind.

When the seeds came, they looked good and healthy. I sprinkled them in my garden at the end of September and they have already sprouted! It’s too late in the season for them to grow fully, but I will update this review when they grow.

Planted all the seeds in pots indoors and not even one came up, my wife was very disappointed, she grows quite a bit of flowers and seeds and knows what she's doing. Oh well thanks anyways

The seeds took a lot longer than I thought to germinate and sprout, but now they are getting big. I haven't seen any blooms. I'm feeling hopeful, though!

Hollyhocks actually dont bloom the first year they are planted. I didn't research this so I was disappointed. I only got about 4 plants from the entire package. Maybe ill get to update this review in 2026? Who knows?!

Typically, most plant seeds have about an 80 % germination rate, these seeds were much higher than that; I would say 95% of them sprouted nicely. I keep them under a grow light I bought on Amazon which actually mimics sunrise and sunset, amazing technology ! I keep the soil moist, but not soaking wet. Good stuff. 😊 ... show more
