    • Doesn't fit a two door car. Strap jammed!
There were no reviews on this item so I figured I'd try to help out. This wouldn't work on my 2000 Honda Civic Coupe. The place where I needed it to clamp has the antenna. The secondary spot at the back of the front door would have been extremely close after moving the front one back to avoid the antenna. The most frustrating thing though was that the straps that attach to the hooks wouldn't release. I tried the method described in the instructions and it was like the strap was jammed but then I could get it to come out a little. I fought with it for thirty minutes. Even if you used this with a four door car you'd still fight with the mechanism and have a very hard time removing it. ... show more

The item is a little wide to fit properly but it does go on there. The main issue is the tightening ratchet no matter what you do with the release pin constantly slips. So you cannot tighten this down to stay that way. It will be loose on your car damage Your paint job. I'm sending mine back

Would have given 1 star, but Amazon did make this a hassle free money back. I didn’t even have to return the product. They easily slip out of position, and when trying to let the locking mechanism loose, it doesn’t work. Very frustrating. They went to the dump.
