I had written a really thorough cool review but I was told it didn’t meet community guidelines, and after reading the guidelines I have no idea why. Anyway, here are the important things: - Great quality, the fabric is breathable and my dogs seem completely unbothered by it despite the super warm Southern CA weather. - Super strong Velcro, 2 hyperactive 6 month-old puppies haven’t been able to take it off, and in fact, I think it’s comfortable because I haven’t even seen them try. - No mess with peeing and pooping. I washed the suits today just because they had worn them for 3 days but didn’t smell bad nor had any stains. Regular washer and dryer didn’t ruin them. - Good protection of the surgical incision: even though they rub/scratch the area where the stitches are, the stitches and the incision are in perfect condition. - I had my doubts about ordering this product given the price difference with other brands (this one seemed too cheap in comparison), but I can’t find a single thing I’m not satisfied with. Well, probably the colors, didn’t love those, but leaving fashions aside, they’re perfect. - Regarding size: do measure your pet and don’t go just by weight. Both my dogs would’ve required the same size based on weight but one was small and the other medium when going by measurements. I’m glad I measured because they fit perfectly and the same size wouldn’t have fit both. - Soooo much better than the cone! They can play and do everything they did before the surgery with these. When they had the cone they wouldn’t stop whimpering. Today I put back the cone while washing the suits and they were both sad and whimpering again, all fixed when the suits were back on and the cones gone. - Easy to put on and take off, or even just take a peek at the wound without taking them off completely. ... show more

I love this onesie! When our puppy was in heat I bought something that I had to fish her tail through every time I changed it, and it was a nightmare! This onesie is awesome! It takes almost no cooperation from your dog to get on, I was able to get it on her as she violently rolled around on the floor. She can go potty without taking it off or messing with it at all, and I don’t need to try to pull her tail through. It has no seems or exposed Velcro that makes it uncomfortable , she seems oblivious to having it on at all. It also has a stitched area for male dogs so you are able to cut out the area for the weenis. Washes well, Velcro is secure. She was in between sizes so I went with the back length measurements and it fits great! ... show more

Neck to tail measure was key in getting the correct size for Pippa (mini poodle 6 months old). After her surgery, l chose this recovery suit instead of the Vet supplied neck cone. Easy to put on, no zipper and provides coverage while protecting the incision. She has free mobility and after about 10 minutes of having it on, she didn't mind wearing it . I only cut a half circle on the underside (easy to see where to cut), to potty. Also she has a thick coat, this is a light weight knit very pretty. Update: The cutout on the bottom is for males not female. You can guess how I found that one out. So now I remove the two back straps for her to potty. ... show more

My female Border collie wore her recovery suit after being spayed. The material was lightweight and stretchy. It washed easily, although I line dried it as I didn't want the suit to shrink. The coverage was good, and it was durable. I hoped I wouldn't have to unfasten the Velcro straps when she went for potty breaks, however I wasn't sure if it uncovered enough of the appropriate area. The Velcro was durable as was the knit material. I was quite pleased with the product overall, however the sizing was not accurate. I originally ordered a size that the chart indicated was large enough for my girl. However, when it came, we found it was not nearly big enough. I sent back the original suit, then ordered the next size up. It was plenty big around, however the length was a bit short. We managed with that suit, however I would have liked it to be a bit longer. My dog is a registered BC, and her size is typical for the breed (45 pounds). I think she was wearing either an XL or 2XL. ... show more

Bully and Pit Bull families, this is the one. It - has a decent amount of stretch - has fabric gentle enough for sensitive skin (not gentle as in super soft, but like a breathable summer tank top) - fits a wide neck and chest while not being baggy in the waist and back - very small windows for sizes (with very well-split back length-based sizes) - has accommodating arm and leg holes for muscle and movement - uses a lot less Velcro that can get snagged in the wash or stuck crooked to itself We also tried a few other brands on here including some “top rated” and “favorite” ones, and (at least for warm weather recovery), this is the one you want. I can tell it feels better than the others, too, because of how easily my small friend is resting while wearing it. For reference, she has a 6” line of stitches on her lower belly after a mammary mass removal. She’s 51 lbs with a ~17-18” chest, and measures 20” from her neck to the base of her tail and we got the XL. I’ll note that the stripe pattern on the top and bottom aren’t perfectly matched at the seams in case that bothers someone, but after 4 other brand’s shirts, all allegedly her size, were either too long, too baggy in the waist/leg hole area, too tight around the neck, or too hot and synthetic feeling (she has allergies and her skin reacts easily to a lot), I do not care about the stripe lines being slightly off. Excellent surgery recovery suit! 100% better option than a cone!!!!! This suit is made from a great material that holds up well - it is a ribbed material with flexibility and strength…and not a cheap t-shirt material. My 1 year old female standard poodle can freely move and play while wearing it, including a design that makes going potty a breeze with no need to take it off. (Adjust it around the hips to ensure free clearance and no obstruction.) It does come with a seemingly unnecessary extra little flap of material in the bottom area that I just cut off so urine doesn’t get on it….not sure why that’s there, but it was easy to remedy. This suit works great for her restroom needs, along with keeping her spay wound clean and protected. It washes up nicely (cool water, hang to dry - no dryer so the velcro stays nice.). It works so well I ordered a second one so she always has a clean one on. My dog is 41 lbs. and the XL fits her well …and she doesn’t mind wearing it at all. I highly recommend this suit for abdominal surgeries to keep incisions clean and covered (plus if your dog will leave it on and alone, it’s a much more pleasant alternative to a cone.) I ordered several different sizes and types of surgery suits before her surgery and this was definitely the best option. This worked well for my pup after her spay surgery! It was soft and comfy and way to get on. It just wasn’t very durable and she was able to bite through it and get it off. But I loved the cute pattern!

Best purchase for a dog recovering from a surgery! My girl had a splenectomy and would tolerate the cone of shame, but this is a much better option! She is able to move around easier and is much more comfortable. The material is soft, not too thick, and holds up when doing laundry. My only suggestion would be to size up at least one size! My girl is a 45 pound collie/lab mix and typically wears a L in dog clothes, but we had to size up to the XXL due to the length. Great purchase! ... show more
