  • Very pleased with my purchase
I am very happy with my purchase of the 4tb Seagate Game Drive. I own an xbox 1s with 500gb, and was constantly deleting games to make space for new ones. I finally threw in the towel and purchased this hard drive. Here is my list of pros and cons, Pros Plenty of storage availability 4tb is more than enough space for most people Looks good next to my xbox, I got my hard drive in white Very quite, unless you are downloading games it remains almost silent Overall haven't noticed a drop in performance of games when playing them off this hard drive When upgrade to scarlet I won't have to re-download all my games Cons I have heard other people saying that after a couple of month's this hard drive just dies, I have owned mine for almost that long and so far so good. The amount of space you have access to on the hard drive(If you get the 4tb one) is 3.6tb you lose about 400gb of storage. I don't know why, but Its not so much that it makes a huge difference Besides that this is a very high quality external hard drive for a good price. I would recommend it to any Xbox users who are looking for additional space. ... show more

  • Amazing of course
Need it for your Xbox? For your pc? To hold photos for your phone? It will hold enough files for anything. Just keep in mind you can't hold some of all 3 options. Xbox has to be formatted so if you go to plug it into a pc after putting your xbox games on it, it will remove all the games and reformat to pc. But thats how any of them work. Extremely great hard drive, easy to use, strong, lots of storage, fast... whats not good about this thing? Literally nothing ... show more

  • XBOX External Hard drive
4 years after buying this product it is still working great with no issues

  • My grandson needed more capacity for gaming storage for Xbox One.
We originally bought a green Seagate external hard drive for my grandson's Xobx One game. It was very easy to use and it had plenty of storage for all his games. The darn drive started beeping and crashing. Found out that meant the it was shot. So I purchased the 4T drive this time and we worked on transferring all the games to the new drive. Seagate external drives are designed specifically for Xbox so setting them up and moving games is very easy. So far, the new drive runs great. We will see how long this one lasts. ... show more

  • Works for Xbox Series S!
As many are aware, Xbox Series S has limited storage. In fact, you only get 364 GB total, which fills up quite quickly for many players. That was my biggest worry when I chose the Series S, instead of Series X. However, we have options to fix that. It was either the 4TB Seagate for 120 dollars, or it was the 1TB Memory Expansion Card for 220 dollars. Why would you want to choose only 1TB for nearly double the price? Well, one of the benefits to the 1TB expansion card is you can store ALL your games on it and play it directly on the 1TB Card. With Seagate 4TB you can play SOME games on it, but not all. Some games have to be moved via settings so it can be played on the console storage, or else you can't play it at all on the 4TB drive. Now, keep in mind that you can STORE all your games, including your saves/progress, on the Seagate 4TB. So for example, let's say you're halfway through a game that can only be played on the console storage (not on the game drive). You want to move it and make room for another game, without losing your saves. You can do that with the 4TB! Just go into settings, move it from console storage to the 4TB drive. Boom, your game + saves are stored. Then, when you change your mind and want to play it again, go into settings and you can move it from the 4TB drive back to console storage to play it. When it finishes, which btw only takes about 10 minutes to move most games, you'll have the game itself + your saves. You don't lose anything! It's great, and in my personal opinion FAR BETTER than the 1TB expansion card if you ask me. I did knock off 1 star though because it says 4TB but in reality it's 3.6 TB. Honestly, not a huge deal because for myself I know I will NEVER max out, but I just want others to be aware that it's 3.6 TB. I wish they would just be honest when advertising the storage. I understand they need to make room on it to allow for formatting ... that's fine! Just tell us the truth though. Say it is 3.6. That's all, but again it's more than enough space for me. Just wanted to share this. ... show more

  • I would recommend!
I’m glad I spent the money on this external drive. Original was going to buy a 2TB but went with the 4TB. It’s easy to use. Seems to be very specific to what port you use in the back. Once it’s plugged in it’ll explain to you how to set it up. If you’re using it for music and other things it’ll stay on its same format but if you’re using it for games like I am it tells you, you have to change the format and you have the option to do it on the screen. Once you do that you just start loading your games on. Pretty cut and dry. I do unplug mine after I turn my Xbox off because it has a very bright light that blinks. So if that doesn’t bother you then you’re fine. I would recommend! Extremely user friendly. ... show more

  • Wait until sale!
Tbh im surprised they had a 2tb expansion card let alone being $300!🤯 i rmbr the 1tb being over $200 which i couldn't justify in buying at the time. Not enough series x's games were out when next gen released and i have a 4tb external ssd for all non series x games to keep the internal hd clear as much as possible. Now with all the new games i filled both the internal hd and the 1tb expansion card i just bought since the price dropped. So, now finding out theres a 2tb expansion card that integrates the series x exact gaming performance that also had a price drop was just a no brainer🤷🏾♂️. So im totalling 4tbs of X/S memory and 4tbs external memory(8tbsmax)which will hopefully last me 2 more yrs 😅 ... show more
