I am very happy with my purchase of the 4tb Seagate Game Drive. I own an xbox 1s with 500gb, and was constantly deleting games to make space for new ones. I finally threw in the towel and purchased this hard drive. Here is my list of pros and cons, Pros Plenty of storage availability 4tb is more than enough space for most people Looks good next to my xbox, I got my hard drive in white Very quite, unless you are downloading games it remains almost silent Overall haven't noticed a drop in performance of games when playing them off this hard drive When upgrade to scarlet I won't have to re-download all my games Cons I have heard other people saying that after a couple of month's this hard drive just dies, I have owned mine for almost that long and so far so good. The amount of space you have access to on the hard drive(If you get the 4tb one) is 3.6tb you lose about 400gb of storage. I don't know why, but Its not so much that it makes a huge difference Besides that this is a very high quality external hard drive for a good price.     • My grandson needed more capacity for gaming storage for Xbox One.
We originally bought a green Seagate external hard drive for my grandson's Xobx One game. It was very easy to use and it had plenty of storage for all his games. The darn drive started beeping and crashing. Found out that meant the it was shot. So I purchased the 4T drive this time and we worked on transferring all the games to the new drive. Seagate external drives are designed specifically for Xbox so setting them up and moving games is very easy. So far, the new drive runs great. We will see how long this one lasts. ... show more

I purchased this 2 years ago this month (10/18). It has never had any issues whatsoever. It has worked flawlessly and stores a ton of games. It effectively elevates my XBOX S storage to 5 TB in total. My kids love it and have requested another for our other XBOX. I will be ordering another when I complete this review. I know there have been some reviews where it has been said it doesn't work or has stopped. Nothing is perfect and there are certainly lemons with anything you buy however, from my experience of 2 years usage, it has been exceptional. ... show more

My husband is please with this item. He has been complaining about the amount or lack there of storage on the Xbox one. Even though most of his games aren’t actually loaded onto the Xbox itself he still has no storage. The price here was also a bit lower, compared to bestbuy. Just be sure to check the different color options available, depending on the color of the device price will vary. I also suggest that if you can spare the extra money go for the 4TB instead of the 2TB. There is so much storage on it, I don’t think anyone could actually use all of it. My husband has already loaded 12 games onto this with one being Assassin’s Creed which I feel takes up a lot of space and all of them only used 11% of the storage available. Great buy! ... show more

Works as expected for Xbox One. However the 4TB was more like 3.6TB after the reformatting that occurs. Still plenty of room on the external hard drive. In the last few weeks I have played through 4 games and have not noticed any slow down in gameplay nor lag nor glitches. One disadvantage of this drive is that you can not have games and movies downloaded on it at the same time. I would assume this is due to the reformatting for gaming that is done and so any hard drive would suffer from this disadvantage. The hardrive itself is very quiet and I do not hear it when playing. The setup and use is also very straight forward, i.e. plug in, turn on the Xbox, reformat, download and play. I gave it a 4 of 5 stars due to the above mentioned actual 3.6 TB and cost being slightly higher than other 4TB hardrives available. Overall I am happy with this drive and would recommend it for the purpose it is made for. ... show more

Got this for my Xbox One S Gears of War 2tb system and I have to say I think this runs the games better then the original HD does. I’m assuming this is a SSD system making games load quicker then what it did before I bought it. But I can’t confirm this cause I haven’t open it up to look cause I don’t want to damage it. But definitely with it. 8-20-2018 Update, So Gamestop had a special deal where I was able to turn in my old Xbox One S in for and Xbox One X and I saved all my game onto this and reset all the info on the S and when I got the X and plugged in this hard drive I didn't have to do all the BS start up and try to remember my old password and account info, it was already to go the second this was plugged in to the X which I though was awesome. ... show more

Tbh im surprised they had a 2tb expansion card let alone being $300!🤯 i rmbr the 1tb being over $200 which i couldn't justify in buying at the time. Not enough series x's games were out when next gen released and i have a 4tb external ssd for all non series x games to keep the internal hd clear as much as possible. Now with all the new games i filled both the internal hd and the 1tb expansion card i just bought since the price dropped. So, now finding out theres a 2tb expansion card that integrates the series x exact gaming performance that also had a price drop was just a no brainer🤷🏾♂️. So im totalling 4tbs of X/S memory and 4tbs external memory(8tbsmax)which will hopefully last me 2 more yrs 😅 ... show more
