I am very happy with my purchase of the 4tb Seagate Game Drive. I own an xbox 1s with 500gb, and was constantly deleting games to make space for new ones. I finally threw in the towel and purchased this hard drive. Here is my list of pros and cons, Pros Plenty of storage availability 4tb is more than enough space for most people Looks good next to my xbox, I got my hard drive in white Very quite, unless you are downloading games it remains almost silent Overall haven't noticed a drop in performance of games when playing them off this hard drive When upgrade to scarlet I won't have to re-download all my games Cons I have heard other people saying that after a couple of month's this hard drive just dies, I have owned mine for almost that long and so far so good. The amount of space you have access to on the hard drive(If you get the 4tb one) is 3.6tb you lose about 400gb of storage. I don't know why, but Its not so much that it makes a huge difference Besides that this is a very high quality external hard drive for a good price.     • My grandson needed more capacity for gaming storage for Xbox One.
We originally bought a green Seagate external hard drive for my grandson's Xobx One game. It was very easy to use and it had plenty of storage for all his games. The darn drive started beeping and crashing. Found out that meant the it was shot. So I purchased the 4T drive this time and we worked on transferring all the games to the new drive. Seagate external drives are designed specifically for Xbox so setting them up and moving games is very easy. So far, the new drive runs great. We will see how long this one lasts. ... show more

Need it for your Xbox? For your pc? To hold photos for your phone? It will hold enough files for anything. Just keep in mind you can't hold some of all 3 options. Xbox has to be formatted so if you go to plug it into a pc after putting your xbox games on it, it will remove all the games and reformat to pc. But thats how any of them work. Extremely great hard drive, easy to use, strong, lots of storage, fast... whats not good about this thing? Literally nothing ... show more

The hard drive has a nice look and great storage capacity. I’m worried that some reviews showed problems at the 8 month mark but I’m willing to chance it. I’ll review again in 8 months. Couldn’t give customer service for Seagate a 5 star because when I loaded the 2 codes for the game pass, I only received 20 days for each, instead of the full 60 days. Seagate didn’t know why this happened. After calling Microsoft Live I was told the time was converted because I had Game Pass Ultimate. They explained that the time was converted because when the product was new, only the Xbox Game Pass was available. It was converted to 40 days because ultimate has Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Live. Hope this helps. ... show more

Works as expected for Xbox One. However the 4TB was more like 3.6TB after the reformatting that occurs. Still plenty of room on the external hard drive. In the last few weeks I have played through 4 games and have not noticed any slow down in gameplay nor lag nor glitches. One disadvantage of this drive is that you can not have games and movies downloaded on it at the same time. I would assume this is due to the reformatting for gaming that is done and so any hard drive would suffer from this disadvantage. The hardrive itself is very quiet and I do not hear it when playing. The setup and use is also very straight forward, i.e. plug in, turn on the Xbox, reformat, download and play. I gave it a 4 of 5 stars due to the above mentioned actual 3.6 TB and cost being slightly higher than other 4TB hardrives available. Overall I am happy with this drive and would recommend it for the purpose it is made for. ... show more

Got this for my Xbox One S Gears of War 2tb system and I have to say I think this runs the games better then the original HD does. I’m assuming this is a SSD system making games load quicker then what it did before I bought it. But I can’t confirm this cause I haven’t open it up to look cause I don’t want to damage it. But definitely with it. 8-20-2018 Update, So Gamestop had a special deal where I was able to turn in my old Xbox One S in for and Xbox One X and I saved all my game onto this and reset all the info on the S and when I got the X and plugged in this hard drive I didn't have to do all the BS start up and try to remember my old password and account info, it was already to go the second this was plugged in to the X which I though was awesome. ... show more

Absolutely love this thing. It’s a good price and doesn’t cost much more than the 2tb edition which is really nice. It’s quite and doesn’t have the cheap feel you find with some other drives. I’m able to keep all 30 of my Xbox One games on this thing with no issue and still have room for more. Allows me to keep my internal clear for a smoother running Xbox with faster load times.
