  • Quick delivery and quick seller response.
Really good seller. I highly recommend ordering from this seller, they responded right away and the product came in faster than the estimated delivery date. The ssd was a little a difficult to install at first so I recommend getting some assistance from a technician. The value is good but not great because it is a bit on the expensive side but it is still worth it. You should probably get a newer Mobo to take advantage of the gen4 speeds, however on a gen 3 mobo it is still ridiculously quick. Highly recommend, everything boots up so much faster than before. Great performance with games as well. I'd say I'm satisfied with the seller's fast delivery, quick response to my email and good quality of product. If you need a fast ssd, this is a good one for you to get. ... show more

  • I bought the 1TB version first and added the 2TB in as my new primary drive
Okay. A lot of things here. Full disclosure, I have been a Seagate ‘fanboy’ for over twenty years. These drives do not disappoint. I have them installed in a Ryzen 3 3600 system, but I would put them in a Ryzen 9 system in a heartbeat to get access to the PCIe4.0 speed bus. Right now they are limited to PCIe 3.0 speeds but I can’t say I mind. I run Linux and I will say that the access times on these drives are basically nonexistent. I can compile Java and C++ code in no time at all. Yes, I know the compilation and linking are CPU tasks, but the loading and saving are I/O tasks and that is where the bottlenecks usually appear. Not with these bad boys. Sure, I wish Seagate made a 4TB or an 8TB version, but for. Ow I can settle for these. ... show more

  • Fast, fast, fast!
Style: Gen4 - 5000MB/s Capacity: 1TB Color: 520
I just built a new pretty darn fast PC, and I wanted some fast storage in it. As my motherboard supports PCIe 4.0 (AKA 'Gen4'), I looked around for a M.2 SSD based on PCIe 4.0, and decided (after a price drop) to go with the 1TB Firecuda 520. My motherboard comes with a built-in heat sink that covers the M.2 slots, so that discouraged me from selecting other M.2 SSDs that come with their own pre-installed heat sinks. In any case, the 520 installed very easily, worked from the start, and - while I've not ran any benchmarks - seems pretty darn fast. All in all, I'm very pleased. For the record, my PC runs Ubuntu 19.10 and I enabled Ubuntu's whole-disk encryption when installed the OS. TLDR: The Firecuda is fast, installed without any hitches, has been running without missing a beat - I certainly don't have anything to complain about and so I heartily recommend it. ... show more

  • 5 stars
Installed this in my PC a few months ago and it has been solid so far. Fast speeds, plenty of storage, and no problems during setup. It runs a bit warmer than I expected, which is the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars. Overall, a good SSD for gaming and everyday use.

  • No more waiting
Paired with an i7 10700k, startup times, installs, and data transfers are amazing. I got the 500gb 520 nvme for operating system + 2tb 520 nvme just for games. Boot up times are less than 5 seconds, it might be even shorter because I have to wait for my monitor to turn on before it's already loaded into windows. I installed an 86gb steam game in 12 minutes with gigabit internet. Ironically, the internet bottlenecks the install speeds. Windows Installation + all updates took a total of 7 minutes. Games startup and load instantly. There's no such thing as waiting anymore. ... show more

  • Very impressive
I bought two 2TB Firecudas for my new machine build. In my BIOS, I put them into a RAID 0 configuration and they boot very well. Windows 10 installs and run very well from them. IoMeter with large sequential block IO and deep queue depth results in 6+ GBps. Very impressive! In the same machine, I also have two 2TB WD SN750 SSDs in a RAID 0 and they only get about 5.5 GBps with the same IoMeter test. The comparison is a little apples to oranges since 1) the Firecudas are low-level formatted in 512 block size, 2) the Firecudas are PCIe 4, 3) The SN750's are PCIe 3 and 4) the SN750's are low-level formatted in 4K block size. I have to wonder what the performance of the Firecudas would be if I have low-level formatted them with a 4K block size. ... show more

  • ! BE CAREFUL ! M2 SSD larger than 1TB may not be compatible on slim notebook
I bought a 2TB SSD M2 to replace my 1 TB, it's not compatible, here is why ..... M2 SSD with capacity larger than 1 TB will have chips on both sides and it may not be compatible with some models of laptops, especially laptops with slim body or thin profile. look at my pictures for clarification. My laptop is LENOVO P1 GEN 2 and IT'S NOT COMPATIBLE good thing about this product, it (SSD M2 2TB) is made in TAIWAN , not China. ... show more
