It's failing after only 7 months of use. I have been getting random crashes with boot loop cycles. After some diagnosing and investigating I have determined that this drive is failing intermittently and losing detection within the bios. A cmos reset initially fixed the problems, but then I tried just leaving the computer off for a few minutes then rebooting and found that after cooling down the drive is again detected. So basically this drive is overheating, crashing and not able to boot. I will add a heatsink to it and migrate my OS/boot drive to a more reliable 2.5" SSD, using this drive for game data only. My system has plenty of airflow and my son's system is built on the same mobo and case platform. His M.2 drive isn't as performance oriented as this one, but boots faster and runs stable with no issues like this. ... show more

For a good brand name, I had a less than excellent experience with the product. Because the first drive didn’t pass SeaGate’s long and short generic test, I had to use its warranty and get a new one. I did the tests again and finally got a good drive…after a week from starting my warranty claim… If you still want to buy it, hope you get a good one the first time. If not, just endure the warranty claim and you’ll still be fine. ... show more

    • Didnt make it an hour after installing windows on it.
I installed windows on this and got all my drivers and programs installed then it just went to blue screen, I opened my case and touched my heatsink on top of the NVME drive and it was completely hot to the touch, now I have my old nvme drive back in and everything is smooth and cool...I would stay away from this overpriced brand...go with samsung or a different brand NVME these are complete trash. ... show more

It's great was confusing at first to install but eventually found out I'm glad I had this because my hard drive ssd had shorted out and I still had this so I am now using this for windows
