I have almost an acre and I have tried several different types over the years. The $250 tow behind was the worst, the push type just kills my back. I do have to fill it several times, but since it's battery powered I don't mind. Just remember to bring it inside for the winter.

works well for a 10,000 sqft lot. With a walk behind, we didn't want to store yet another large yard implement in the garage. This one is small, easy to use and works well. Just have to fill it up a few times to cover the entire lot. Easy enough, stores on a hook on the wall.

I was using the traditional push seeder, but then saw that my neighbor had one of these and she is an older woman and said that it made it so much easier for her. She was right. It arrived quickly and packaged well. There really wasn’t any assembly required and also it came with batteries so it’s literally ready to use right out of the box. It’s so easy to use. All you have to do is check the product you are spreading to see what rate it needs to be set at on your machine. Simply turn the dial to that setting and then press the trigger and you are all good to go! I would definitely recommend this as an alternative option for those who like to to yard work and may not have a lot of strength. However it’s easy for everyone to use. ... show more

This is my second one, first one lasted 3 seasons then the trigger switch failed. I rigged a toggle switch up and got another season out of it then the battery holder fell apart and I junked it. I wish I would have kept that switch it was much better than holding a fatiguing trigger switch in.

This beats the had crank one hands down! The edge Guard doesn’t really give you a straight edge to work with but does narrow the pattern down. I had no issues with clogging. The recommendation on my IFA fertilizer bag seemed off. They said use a 6 setting which was way to much I had to do a speed walk to make that work. I readjusted to a 5 and seemed much better. You’ll get your lawn done much faster and easier with this thing! Worth every penny! ... show more

I found this easier and more reliable than using my drop spreader on my very hilly odd shaped 5000 ft lawn. The only issue is the hand held spreader must be held level when near the bottom of a filling.
