This install kit had everything I needed for this project. It even came with a test light! The trim removal tool worked very well until it snapped in half. Probably due to operator error. Definately a good buy for the price.

Bought this, a head unit, installation kit, and wire harness all in one shot. I was considering getting a cheaper head unit at the brick and mortar store to compensate for having to pay someone to install my stereo. However, I decided to buy the better head unit and take on a DIY project for the heck of it for the sake of learning (plus better receiver for less money doing in myself). After a few online searches and some YouTube how-to videos, I learned how to do it myself. It is actually A LOT easier than you think. I found that this set was great and I had no issues using it. I like how this kit also includes some butt connectors and electrical tape (not shown in the picture). The only thing I wish was that the screw driver that's included was a ratcheting type. I found the wire stripper/crimper to work well enough... no complaints here. I'm sure there are better ones out there if you purchased separately, but for my first-time install, it did the job! ... show more

This was an excellent kit, which helped me run 2 systems in a crv and in a gmc pickup truck. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5, is because the fishing line's tip became loose the 2nd time I used it, and I had not even been excessively rough with it. I think they could have connected it better because now it easily bends making it get snagged when running cables through tight spaces, which it could easily do when it was brand new. ... show more

This is a great entry level stereo installation kit. I'm very happy with what was included in the kit and the quality for the price. Since I bought the kit, I installed a Pioneer double din unit. I later added a backup camera. Then I added an amp and a 10" sub. Although of course, there were additional items I needed to complete most of these installations, this kit was fundamental for each installation and I was very happy I had purchased it. ... show more

If you work on cars constantly and don't have the right tools to run wires or take out the dashboard these are a must have. I'm super annoyed i didn't get these earlier. would have saved me so much time installing stereos and back up cameras over the years.

Style: Complete Tool Kit
As the subject suggests, I'm reasonably satisfied with this product, though significant improvements can be made. I'll go tool by tool: Stripper/Crimpers: Sufficient - Stripping is a bit touch-and-go, not very smooth but it worked. Crimping went well, though an oval finisher would be appreciated. Screwdriver/Bolt: Decent - The tool itself has some heft, has storage for most of the common screws/bolts you'll encounter, though I wish it had a 10mm bolt piece for the battery disconnection RCA runner: Decent - Used this to route a BT mic through the dash, does what it's supposed to do. Panel Tool: Barely tolerable - This tool broke in about 3 different places before the trim came out. Was almost unable to finish the job because of it. Seriously consider buying a spare, or a sturdier version. Wire tester: Unused, can't say. Electrical tape: Barely tolerable - the adhesive itself is fine, but was very spotty on the spool I had. Butt connectors: Decent - Worked great, though they didn't have a split to create a proper crimp. As always, check your connections! ... show more
