Style: 2002-2006 Complete Installation Kit
I bought this for step daughter-in-law, who thinks she knows everything and prefers to do things herself. I’ve installed many in-car electronics and thought this would be an easy novice install. The kit comes with literally everything you would need. The dash kit, antennae adapter, and the wiring kit - simple right? The wiring kit is color coded to iasca standards and has been that since probably ‘85. I explained to my daughter in law how the wires worked, in case she had questions, and she knew before I could finish what she was doing. This is the reason the easy to install is only 3 stars. She came back to me a few minutes later with a tear in her eye only to find she had plugged the wiring adapter into the vehicle, then got confused and cut the oem wiring. She didn’t think it was nearly as funny as I did. After I caught my breath I told her how to remedy the situation and she was off on her own again. After a few hours she was up and running. I personally think it’s a great kit that has everything you’ll need.

First off i bought this to install a head /nav unit into my 05 Chrysler Sebring convertible. Though i like the way the dash kit snaps together ,It isn't a perfect fit into the dash.The angles of the corners are not quite right and i did have to shave a little off the right bottom corner to make it fit. The wireing harness is OK for a standard head unit but if you are looking to take advantage of the steering wheel controls(Like i was)this will not work.

I initially bought Metra kit from Advanced Auto Parts for 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo which was 2x more and only had the face not the side tray to hold the radio. I did not have the metal tray that comes with radio when buying new. I removed the radio from another vehicle that had a complete Metra dash kit. I purchased this before returning the Metra and work much better. Everything aligned well. Only minus are the screws. Had trouble screwing them on. Luckily I used the screws from old dash kit and worked well. The fit was great, no hassle and did not have to adjust at all to allow main panel to seat properly. With the Metra, one corner was causing the main panel to not seat properly. Glad I didn't shave off as I ended up returning it to Advanced Auto Parts. Instructions are not helpful as you will have to figure it out, but not problematic. There are some top/left/right engraved words on this kit so it will help to know orientation at least. Metra kit has a plastic petruding "rod" to align on vehicle's for more support. Unfortunately it doesn't have it on this kit, which with the screws did not matter. I'll definitely get this brand for another vehicle. Sure saved me half the price from Metra. No 5 star due to instructions and screws. Still really satisfied with item overall, looks great and no movement at all.

Used to replace the OEM radio in my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 with an aftermarket stereo and unit worked great and looks great. Easy install in my Dodge Ram! I used the side tabs with my aftermarket stereo with the screws supplied. Apparently these side support tabs are for certain imports but they work great for my truck in supporting the stereo. Much easier to use than trying to reach behind a stereo in the install and use the stupid support braket included with most stereos for decades! Very happy with this install kit! Easiest stereo install ever!

Style: Dash Kit
Be aware - if this is a DIN you must take the extra metal enclosure of the stereo off, and if the stereo is ISO that means the stereo's faceplate comes off and you install it backwards order the way you would a traditional DIN. Basically DIN: hold this faceplate vertically and drop stereo into it like normal, may or may not have to remove extra metal sheathing around the stereo. If it is ISO: the stereo should say it's ISO style and or the stereo face plate must be able to come off and you hold this vertically and install stereo from the bottom into the top. Put the stereo face plate back on overtop of this product's face and you're good to go. For both styles: once installed use screws and install in sides so it won't wiggle. Just wanted to clarify that for beginners who don't know DIN from ISO styles.

Style: Dash Kit
Although this was an easy install and it fit the dash very well, my only disappointment was the thin insert ring adapter. I installed my radio without a faceplate trim ring, which requires the thin adapter DIN ring to snap in place. It’s only held in place by the outside edges, so once it’s all installed, it bows out in the middle and doesn’t sit flush. I suppose I could glue it in place, but I’m sure it wasn’t designed to be installed that way. Otherwise, it’s a good fit for those slightly curved Dodge/Chrysler radio openings from the 2000-ish era.

The bracket/Faceplate doesn't match up with factory opening. I had to file off two of the corners for it to fit. The harness and antenna adapter worked fine.

All I needed from this kit was the plastic mount adaptor and the antenna adaptor, but it does also come with the wiring harness adaptor and some bits of wiring splicing hardware for those of y’all that don’t already have those things handy. Even if you do, you can’t really go wrong with having spare bits and bobs. The plastic is thick and good quality. Not easy to break. It’s two pieces, they come apart so you can fit the head unit in and then they go back together, and I had to use a decent amount of force to get the pieces back together, but nothing broke or warped or anything of the sort. It also mounted up to the factory mounting holes in the dashboard perfectly as if it were an OE part.
