This was an easy and straight forward product to install. I installed this into a 2001 F-150 and had no fitment issues whatsoever, and it looks factory as well. I posted up some pictures as well to see the install actually in the truck. The only negative thing about this kit is that the bottom cubby hole is as small / smaller than it looks. I tried to show this in the pictures after the install was done. I can barely get my fingers in there, and if something were to get to the bottom of it, it would probably have to stay there! I also am not a very small mammal, so take it for what it's worth. I did not take off a star for this negative, because it is not Scosche's fault, they were working within the room they were given by the factory 1.5 din radio. ... show more

Worked ok for installing a single DIN head unit in a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport, allowing replacement of the factory CD cassette player that had been on its last legs. The install was relatively simple, but the overall quality of the plastic is less then stellar, and is a little warped.

Okay so it fits my Ford F-150, but it was a pain to get in there, the clips seem to be a little short in some places, which makes the plastic warp in the little pocket thing, not a huge deal, I actually found a way to fix the budge by breaking off two of the clips that are suppose to be longer. It works, but I think I'll go a different route next time. (You can get this but be warned!) Had a truck fire in July of 2014, i lost a lot of stuff including my head unit and at least 5 items i had just bought from amazon, this being one of them. My only advice is, try to find one that doesn't fit so tightly, when my truck was on fire in the bed i was trying to save stuff from the cab. i went for my stereo but couldn't get it out because of this dash kit being so tight it was practically stuck and i had minutes to get it out or get burned. I unfortunately was not able to save it because this thing was not coming loose. Totally sucks that i lost my head unit but it was a POS anyways. Dying cd drive, glitchy lcd panel. Still sucked though cause i tried all i could to save it but this was in the way! ... show more

Used in 1998 Ford Ranger XLT to replace double-din stock deck with single-din aftermarket deck. Installation instructions were very straight forward and complete. Textured trim of kit looks good against the console in the vehicle. The fit is nice and precise, there aren't any weird bows or bends that make it look odd and out of place. Had two options for the storage under the deck: a full-depth "cd case", or a shorty cubby for smaller items. In the picture, I've installed the longer full-depth option. The hooks on the kit are very secure. Make sure that you secure the deck sleeve in the kit prior to installing the kit in the dash; removing the kit from the dash console is not going to be very easy and it's possible to break either the tabs securing the kit or the edge of the console itself. ... show more
