I purchased this as a birthday gift for my wife. Box was in good condition - no visible damage. However, the fender was dented (somehow). Worse yet - there is a manufacturing defect in the front fork: > If you align the disc rotor with the caliper - then the wheel wont go on the fork. > If you align the wheel with the fork - then it won't even come close to going into the caliper. > If you force both - then the disc grinds on the calipers and the wheel doesn't spin freely. I thought this was an anomaly - so we requested a replacement - Amazon is amazing BTW in this regard. The replacement arrived - and lo and behold - the SAME exact issue. I took pictures and tried to work through this with Schwinn - but they are out of stock on the forks. They said just return/refund. So, save your self a LOT of headache - pick a different bike :) ... show more

I’m on my second unit and have already scheduled a return. The first one arrived with the package completely damaged and the bike inside looking like it had been previously opened. After receiving the second one, the package was even more damaged and whatever impact it had sustained damaged the rear of the bike, resulting in the wheel not spinning properly and the gear shifter being broken. after spending some time trying to adjust it, the wheel ended being fine, but it’s still difficult to shift gears. When riding, you can hear the chain scraping against adjacent gears. Really wanted to love this bike given the looks and it being a newer model, but I’m hesitant to order a second replacement. Given the situation, however, it seems the blame is on the delivery process because the bikes seemed to be well packaged, but the box ends up battered by the time it arrives. ... show more
