abunda_amazon_reviews This is an "economy" bike, and expectations should be kept realistic. It is fine for running errands, cruising around, and short commutes; but I wouldn't recommend it for long rides, touring, or similar heavy duty use. Having said that, it's visually appealing (I like the color scheme!), and that it comes with fenders and cargo rack at that affordable price was a plus why I decided to go for it. The frame is made of steel (which I still prefer; another reason for me to decide for this one), but light weight. It can fit tall riders- I am 6'1" tall with a 34" inseam, and can go around on this bike as it is pretty well. After reading stories about badly scratched, bent, dinged up, thrown together, and missing parts I was pretty anxious about in what shape the bike would arrive. Well, it came in its original box and nicely packed up and wrapped in protective packing material. The wheels were true. The tubes were holding air. I guess other people just had bad luck - or got an "open item"... ? I assembled the bike myself, but would recommend anybody who isn't savvy with bike mechanics to have it assembled. With that I come to the only (for me not unexpected, tough!) weak point that I found. The drive train components are cheap- that said in all honesty. Despite making all the necessary adjustments I kept getting noisy, erratic shifting, and decided to replace freewheel, derailleur and chain with better (Shimano Tourney) components. Problem solved. Now it works like a champ! It only has to go through the initial break-in and then it should last for quite a time, due care and maintenance and right use granted.;;Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2018;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Nice bike for light use;;Andy;;;I am delighted. It arrived on time and well packaged. It went together without any trouble in about 90 minutes. It needed very little adjustment and worked well, right out of the box. Instructions were very good. It looks and rides like a dream. I especially like the retro handlebars. They are closer together than the picture shows. They are just like they were back in the 60's and not like the cruisers of today. It is like having today's technology in yesterdays package. A great buy. When I was 14 I saved my money to buy a new Schwinn. I had $90 and went to the local dealer. I picked out my bike and waited for someone to come and help me. I waited...and waited....and waited. No one was there. It was early on a Sat. morning and the store was open..the lights were on, and there we were. I eventually got tired of waiting and left the store without my new bike. I don't remember what happened but I decided not to get a bike. Well....I got that same bike now 51 years later. EDIT: Rear tire went flat again. Hole in the inner tube this is the second one I have replaced at a total cost of about $12.75 for the both of them. This time I lined the tire rim with duct tape. We will see if this solves the problem. I checked the inside of the rim for any protrusions or anything that might wear a hold in the tube, but did not see anything. So far I have subtracted 2 stars for the rear innertubes. Aside from that....I am very happy with the ride. Addendum: after about 3 miles of riding over a period of 3 days, like so many others have experienced, I had the rear inner tube blow out. I can't understand how, with all of the feedback they have received, that they have not fixed this problem. The rear inner tubes they are supplying, are obviously flawed and useless. Still, if that is all that goes wrong with the bike, I am happy. I did edit my review, and removed one of the stars. Just an FYI to those who decide to purchase. I would suggest you order a 26" rear tire inner tube, and remove the flawed one that comes with the bike. It might save you from having to walk the bike back home for repair, like I did. They are only $6, and very easily installed.;;Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2017;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;A great bike. You won't be sorry.;;Wrong Way Bill;;;Absolutely love this bike. My husband is a biker and put it together, tuned it and I believe all the reviews that call this bike bad in some way have to do with bad assembly. It his heavy, yes, but it feels extremely solid on the road and I am currently looking for accessories. It is awesome on the flat bike trails of Hilton Head, and sturdy enough to have my 6 year old just sit on the back and us ride together. Great value!!! And VERY pretty colors, very pleasing to the eye, comfortable seat and feels great and solid on a road with cars going by. Definitely recommend it!;;Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Absolutely love this bike;;Silja;;;Bought this for my daughter to get around campus at college. Arrived in perfect shape, assembled in no time at all. Adjusted everything per the manual (except the derailleur, didnt want to mess with the settings on it). Took it for a quick ride and as I cycled through the gears one at a time something happened and the derailleur ended up twisted and jammed up into the spokes. Luckily I wasnt traveling very fast so I was able to minimize the damage and immediately stop. But how disappointing is this..Thankfully I found this out and not my daughter. So now its off to the bike shop to get the derailleur replaced with something decent and working. VERY DISAPPOINTED with this purchase.;;Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2018;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;First ride derailleur failed;;Mark F.;;;This bike was bought for me but my 24 year old daughter took it for a ride the first day it was put together. The back inner tube split right next to the seam. We replaced it, okay we got a bad tube. Two bike rides later the front tube did the same thing. I’m not happy that we’ve had to replace both tubes within the first month and only 3 bike rides. To be clear, we didn’t hit anything, run over anything, the tube split on the inside. We checked both rims and tires there was nothing sharp in them. Edited stars and review. Today I went for my third bike ride. Three rides three flat tires! 😡. DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS BIKE!;;Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2018;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Three bike rides...three flat tires!;;Beth Kelly
