  • Great little bike! Update after 1 year Great little bike! Update after 1 year
Color: Black Size: 20-Inch Wheels
I wanted to update my review, since I've now had my Loop for over a year. This is a fantastic, tough little bike. I live in Boston and was able to ride it through most of the winter. It has issues with slipping on ice which is a matter of physics and not the bike's fault. Over the last month it stopped shifting gears. I got a YouTube video showing how to fix it, but we didn't even need to go through the whole video - the cable had popped out of its housing and that was the whole problem. My fiance got it back where it was supposed to go, we did a little bit of tuning, and now its humming along like new. I didn't bother changing the saddle, as I was afraid a bigger saddle would affect the folding. At first, the saddle was murder, but I got used to it pretty quickly. I wouldn't go for a really long ride on it, but for short trips around it's perfect. I don't use the bag it came in and I wouldn't be able to carry it around in its bag as it's too heavy for me. However, it's perfect for folding up in my trunk. I can also bring it into my office and stick it under my desk if I need to. One issue I have is the rack. It's too think to hold most bike panniers or saddle bags. I found a good bag that sits on top and velcros to the rack, but I'd like a pannier that I could just pop on. Instead, I have to really lash my pannier to the bike, which is a pain. Original review I ordered this bike to get from my car to my office. I had to start parking further away, so what had been a 12 minute walk became a 20 minute walk. This bike, folded up, fits perfectly in the trunk of my teeny Scion. It takes up almost the whole trunk, but that hasn't been a problem. I've had the bike for about a week, and I've gotten VERY good at folding and unfolding - I can put it together or take it apart in about 10 seconds without rushing. The bike itself rides very nicely. The saddle is indeed uncomfortable, as people have mentioned, but if you replaced it with a bigger, more comfortable saddle then the bike wouldn't fold up as compactly. I might get a softer saddle for longer, leisurely bike rides, but for my quick ride from the car to the office it's perfectly fine. The gears change very smoothly. The bike feels extremely solid. If I wanted to keep it at my desk instead of outside at a bike rack, I easily could as the photo makes clear. I'm tempted to buy another one for my fiance and maybe my son if they want one! ... show more

  • Went ahead and bought despite many negative reviews Went ahead and bought despite many negative reviews
Color: White Size: 20-Inch Wheels
My LOOP came extremely well packed and secure. It is a gorgeous bike. I have not seen anything sub par about its construction. I was nervous due to the negative reviews. The manual was easy to follow and practice made folding and unfolding easier! The tires need inflating but that is pretty standard for bikes that are shipped . The weight of the bike seems heavier but it is indeed a sturdy bike not flimsy. The brakes seem tight so I’m going to have the bike adjusted professionally at a bike shop before I actually use it. My friend who bought a $2500 Electric bike had to do the same. I am feeling hopeful and optimistic that this will be a great bike for me. I’m short, 5’1 and of a medium weight and fairly active but being older I researched foldable bikes and due to being short I felt the loop was a great choice for me. I will review this bike again after it’s adjusted and I have used it. I’m keeping the box just in case it needs to be returned. So far it looks like a quality bike and I don’t really see any signs of sloppy workmsnship. I will do a follow up review . 4 stars right now until I use it. May 16, 2024 Brought it to a bike shop as the brakes looked liked they needed adjusting. Will be spending $90 to have the brakes and speeds adjusted as those are needed. I’m not handy with that stuff and have no idea how to do it but decided it was necessary to have a safe ride. Be aware that this may need to be done if you buy this bike. Will be updating when I finally ride it! May 27, 2024 update - after a $90 level 1 tune up it works great! Very happy with it. I have no reservations about the quality. I really love it. One very annoying thing about this Bike purchase is the fluctuation of price on the various colors on Amazon, you have to watch carefully and buy it at its lowest listed price on Amazon. I pd $412 then saw my white bike for $351 on Amazon now it’s up to $451. Now 6/7/24 absolutely love my loop!!! Important to: watch for the best price on Amazon as the price fluctuates Also before use have it adjusted by a bike shop or someone knowledgeable about bikes THIS BIKE IS SO EASY TO FOLD AND UNFOLD AND IS NOT TOO HEAVY! I’m very happy with it and glad I took a chance on it AUGUST 2024- had to come back and write how happy I am that I bought this bike! It is always in the back of my SUV ready to go! Unfolds in minutes and folds back up in minutes! I absolutely love it ... show more

  • i great little workhorse i great little workhorse
Color: Black Size: 20-Inch Wheels
i have had this little bike for about a year now and wanted to write a quick review. the construction is good on the bike and have only had one of the front reflectors break and one of the brake pads for the rear wheel shoot off when i was bombing down a hill. i would give it a 9/10 as far as a lower price model in the folding bike game but it is just good and not great. the bag that comes with it is way too small and it has been very difficult to find something that has some strength and padding for flying with the bike. i work on container ships so the primary reason i got this bike was so that when we are in port i will have something i can put in the shuttle van and in the back of a cab and still get some exercise in and a nice little bike ride. i have had to do lots of modifications to get the bike up to safe and efficient operation and wrote my review with the add-ons to maybe save you some time in the search. 1. woo wind portable air pump- this has been a life saver, often after travel and from use and different temperatures the PSI will dip down. this little air pump will keep you at a perfect PSI after about 4 min of pumping for both tires. holds a charge for about 2 months before needs recharge on USB-type C. for 30$ its a no-Brainier 2. little bell- for some reason this bike has no bell. people are now always on their phones when driving and walking on the sidewalk. i always hit the ding ding whenever i am near a car to try to not get my ass run over. i also blast annoying music like techno or Bob Marley on my JBL charge to be seen and heard better. 3. a helmet- duh 4. my Kryptonite lock. - i hang it around my neck and it is ready to go for a weapon when riding in case a bum/crackhead starts getting aggressive with you. and i have never had anyone mess with my rig when i use it because it is really beefy. 5. side saddle bag- got this bodega and it works fine on the starboard side as when it folds it does not interfere. this was about 130 but the construction is solid and if i go grocery shopping i use a folding plastic bag and that way i know how much stuff i can get. also it holds my bungee cords in case i get a 12pack of beer that keeps it well strapped on the rear cargo frame. 6. cup holder- duh 7. cell phone holder- duh 8. i don't really ride at night anymore because its just too scary with modern day drivers but i keep a set of rechargeable LED lights just in case 9. i also got a spare inter tube kit under the bike seat just in case 10. protection stickers- i picked these up because i wanted my bike not to look like a rental in Hawaii but they have saved the frame from lots of scratches so i am pleased hope that is helpful, i love the bike but it definitely has some things Schwinn can improve on and Beef up. ... show more

  • Good enough to get stolen. Not fast.
Color: White Size: 20-Inch Wheels
Sure is An Bike. I'll catch the people who stole it one day. It's a bike. It folds. It's cheap, at least, it is for something that can ship to your front door. When I first got it, I thought 'dang, this thing is a tad overpriced.' It's really not. They completely assemble it for you to be shipped. When it arrives, you just air up the tires, tighten/loosen some stuff and go. There's something in the manual about needing a 15mm wrench that I missed when I first got it. Yeah, that's how assembled it comes. if you're like me and don't care about the derailleur being dailed in, you can just go. I unboxed it in the ups store, aired up the tires right outside with a portable air compressor and went. I forgot about whatever it was that needed a 15mm wrench. Dailed the derailleur in later. The wheels did immediately get untrued, however, as the weight limit is 230 pounds. I'm ~250. And had a ~40 pound battery strapped to it. I believe the wheels are what makes the weight rating so low, as there are no suspension components to break. It's all one aluminum tube structure, and a fork up front. The rear wheel rest is suspiciously wide for how narrow the wheels that come with it are. There's even a few nuts on the bolt to make the shaft of the bolt actually fit into the axle rest. I suspect this is because they anticipated you wanting a new rear wheel due to the lack of suspension components. One that's much wider than what comes with the bike. Wish I still had it, would replace the rear wheel with a hub motor wheel. I bet putting a wider 20" wheel on the back would give you some sick traction. Again, cheap for what it is. It's An Bike. It folds. You can mod it. Dear Lord, order a seat with this. You WILL need that. The seat that comes with it is actually unusable. Your knees are the only suspension that comes with this bike. Plan accordingly. I did the math at one point to determine the cost/ride. Even with it being stolen, I don't think it cracked ~2.00 a ride. I'm pretty sure people pay more for those rideshare bikes you see around town sometimes. Still worth it, even if I never see it again. Probably getting a different bike next, though. ... show more

  • I don't hate it by any means
Color: Black Size: 20-Inch Wheels
I bought this to replace my stolen (grrr) fBike, since fBike seems to have folded (their joke, not mine). I don't hate it by any means, but I liked the fBike much better. This one feels kind of flimsy when I'm riding it, like the folding parts are about to come unfolded while riding (none actually -have-, obviously, or this would be a much different review) -- like the handlebars jiggle a bit, and I have to tighten the seat all the time to keep it from dropping randomly. It is of course possible I messed up something in assembly, or that a bit of basic hardware/bike tuning skills (which I lack entirely) would fix it. The front brake also completely went out today, which I discovered on a hill, pleasantly enough; I got to work and looked down to find the end of the brake cable dangling loosely near the chain, which could have gone poorly. To be fair, I've been lugging it around for a long time, throwing it into the backs of cars and buses and jammed into corners and stuff, so it might be a teeeeny bit of my own doing. Still, since folding bikes are kind of designed to be thrown around, I'm kinda displeased. So yeah, I wouldn't be taking it on any crazy rides, but it works for just trundling around town, and you may have better luck than I with faith in its structural integrity (or fixing it up). Very easy to assemble, took longer to get it out of the box than put together. Great price. Haven't looked to see if others had the same issues I've had, but thought I'd toss up my experience with the little bastard. (The comments from passing strangers when folding/unfolding it are also always great fun!) ... show more

  • For the go anytime biking.
Color: Titanium Size: 20-Inch Wheels
I wanted to start biking and this was by far the best bike to do it for a new person. It's more or less assembled and you can go biking right away from the box. The advantage of this one is that I can throw it into the trunk of my car and go biking anytime. This is a big advantage if you want to start doing this as a daily/weekly exercise. I actually keep it in my car all the time and if there's traffic on my drive home or I have a bit of time to kill. I pull the bike out and go biking for 30 minutes at a nearby park. It's a comfortable ride. The 7 speed gears were fine for any paved path hill I found. It does more or less max out for me at a top speed of ~20mph before I run out of gears to pedal harder. Also Get Velcro straps (these work great https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000H5OKI6/ref=twister_B01IHYS9YO) so that you can secure the bike in the folded position. There's no magnets or latch so if you carry it around it opens up. This also makes it difficult to put in the bag since when you're trying to it opens up. If you have trouble putting it in the carrying bag check the manual. There's actually an illustration and guide on how to put it in the bag. Remember it folds rectangular not square so the long side of the bike folded has to line up to the long side of the bag. The bag itself is kinda flimsy, I need to get a new one as it has quite a few holes, but I fold, unfold, and bag it up about 3 times a week. I've had it for about 3 months. I've since gotten another full road bike on my biking adventure so I can go with friends and to try out a full size bike to compare this to but this one remains in my car as It's still a very comfortable and portable anytime bike. **4-year UPDATE** So I've had it about 4 years now, Still rocking it. I've gotten into biking and have bought other bikes since as a hobby. But this one is still rocking and one of my personal favorites. At around 500 miles, I had to replace the Bottom Bracket because it was grinding (SHIMANO Square Type Bicycle Bottom Bracket - BSA 68MM, Spindle: 127.5MM) It was hell to remove, I suggest just going to a bike shop if it happens to you. Used a 4 feet long breaker bar and like all the solvents. Also as mentioned, the bag gave up after a while, I replaced it with this (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0749GV8WJ/) Works great. Other tweaks I made is getting a bigger front Crankset (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0749GV8WJ/) This is basically as big as you can go. Lets you go faster once you got the leg power to pedal. Also got a newer bike seat. I've been on long rides with it and overall I'm just quite happy with it. ... show more

  • Bike arrived FedEx in good condition. Well packaged
Color: Black Size: 20-Inch Wheels
I give this 5 stars for my requirements only. I bought to carry in my motor home. Was going to get a big bike and a hitch mount bike rack. Bike racks were more than the bikes and security a concern being outside the motor home. Also road grime on the bike when traveling. I don't tow a car. Prefer to rent when I get there. But sometimes you stop somewhere and just need to bike to a store, or ride around in the park to the pool etc. That is why I purchased this bike. Bike arrived FedEx in good condition. Well packaged. I adjusted front brakes a bit. Shifted rear fender a bit also (Two screws). No big deal. You should plan to set it up on a table, sawhorses or something when unpacking. Easier to adjust when upside down on a table. Seat is as suggested by others, not that comfortable. It is ok for my limited use. Storage bag is just that. Good for bagging the dirty bike and putting it in the motor home, but not strong enough for humping the bike from subway to your office or similar unless you devise a way to carry it, and just use the cover for keeping dirt off your clothes or messing up your cube at work. A storage tub that I already had fit perfectly on the luggage rack with two bungie cords. Plus the lid still fit on the tub and the tub had it's own locking lid handles so perfect for picking up a few things at a nearby store and it all stays dry if raining. I am 6'1 and 234 lbs. Bike is fine in all respects for my size. In my opinion you would not be happy with this bike for any kind of regular long distance riding. On a fast downhill, it is unstable. Wheels are small and close together so any minor change in the steering is accentuated and scary. No gyroscopic stabilization in the front wheel due to the small size. Bike has a front (white) and rear (red) reflector I was not expecting. Also each wheel has a white reflector and both pedals have amber reflectors. I did not notice this when buying and was pleasantly surprised at this. Will now buy the LED set recommended for night riding and safety. Have talked to many other RV owners with foldable bikes. Shimano and similar brands. Many complain of weak welds, and flimsy construction. Clearly not the case with this Schwinn. Very sturdy, easy to fold and unfold and in general has a real feel of good quality. Very satisfied with everything about this transaction including the price which I researched endlessly. Just be sure you are buying the right size bike for you needs and good luck. ... show more

  • Stay away from this clunker!!!
Color: White Size: 20-Inch Wheels
I thought it would come fully assembled and ready to go. It was packaged properly but somehow my front fender and back fenders are twisted and crooked. That either happened at the factory or during shipping. After unfolding the bike and putting everything together i realized the brakes need to be calibrated. I spend around 2 hours trying to get the brakes calibrated. When riding the first time i realized the handlebar was crooked. So i had to figure out how to get that straight. It folds and unfolds ok, not the fastest or elegant way, but it doesn’t stay folded. It is heavy and since it doesn’t stay unfolded it is super unwieldy to carry around. I spent more effort and energy unfolding and carrying it than actually riding it. There are better bikes out there at the same price range that are easy to fold and carry. When its folded the carry side is the side with the chain and since this doesn’t have chain guard you will get grease on your legs and pants. The pedals are cheap plastic and the seat is hard. The brakes are super soft, i almost feel like i need to replace the brakes with something better. This bike is not worth the price as there are other that are similar priced. The assembly by lbs to activate the warranty is some sneaky s@@t they pulled knowing how expensive lbs are and so many people will be out of warranty. Our lbs charges $50 for a simple tuneup, add that to the cost and you got yourself a over $300 dollar bike. At that point for a little more you could get a dahon bike. I got suckered into buying this bike. Don’t make the same mistake i did and buy something else. Update: After a week of riding, I wish I could give it less than a star. The gears and shifters are s@#t. The brakes are still s@#t. I replaced the saddle and not this thing won't fold properly. Be careful if you are changing saddles, if you get a little wider saddle this thing won't fold properly. ... show more
