  • Size of unit about 3 inch x 4 inch. Power cord about 3 ft.
This review is to give details of what you get. The unit is about as tall as a coffee cup. The power cord stretches to about 3 ft. The wire is about 12 ft. Or whatever length the package says it is. I dont remember. I do not know if you should add an extension cord to the unit to reach an outlet but I'm going to try using an extension cord with a GFCI. You only need 4 inch of available pipe range. Wires come pre stripped so no need for wire strippers. ... show more

  • Does the job and good for the environment too!
We are very happy with this product. We live in a condo where there is not room for a conventional water softener, and I really do not like using a salt-based softener. This is not actually a softener but a descaler and it works as advertised. The scale buildup in our dishwasher and in our shower spray heads has gradually disappeared over the last month or two. I used to have to clean the shower heads in vinegar at least twice a year to unclog them. I did a lot of research before this purchase, especially with products people chose and recommended in California where some municipalities have banned the use of salt-based water softeners. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Good descaler
I live in northern California where the water is very hard. After using this for over 3 months, I do notice a drop in the hard water stains build-up. However, I just found another product that offers the same type of operation for 20% of the price of this product. This product is expensive and by the time you can decide whether this product is effective, the return window time frame is way past. Be aware of alternative products out in the market place! ... show more

  • No change in total dissolved solids
My plumber correctly installed this device on our incoming water line with the installation of our new hot water heater. I purchased a total dissolved solids (tds) meter and tested the tds count at intervals several weeks beforehand. Santa Fe, NM water hardness varies at around 150ppm Which is where I live. I got readings of around 85ppm consistently. Not bad if the meter is accurate. It’s been on the incoming water line since mid-February and the reading of 85ppm remains consistent. Our shampoo lathers better than before with our old water heater and our skin and hair feels softer. Therefore, it would appear that this device has done nothing and the addition of a new water heater is responsible for feeling softer water. I gave it 5-stars for ease of install & 2 overall since I can’t say with 100% certainty it hasn’t contributed in some way; although the meter says otherwise. ... show more

  • AWESOME
I installed it with no problems -very easy. I saw nothing in my instruction booklet about not putting it near metal devices...?? Mine is close to my water heater due to the structure of my water pipe (HVAC guy approved). I will trim excess wire when I am sure about placement. After 2 weeks, I can see a difference - especially in the toilet. I purposely did not use any calcium remover on the toilet "line" - just regular cleaning. The line is gone. My garden irrigation tubes had deposit. That is also gone. My water feels different in the shower and rinse is cleaner in the dishwasher. This is an affordable option to the bulky ($$$/salt) water softeners. Nano takes up 3.5" x 5" of wall space! Highly recommend... ... show more

  • Performs as advertised
I don't have as many spots on my dishes, and my skin and hair seem better. And there isn't the slimy feel of a traditional salt softener. I didn't install it, my apartment complex maintenance did - they said it was easy, and best of all, we could take it with us if we moved.

  • Good Value
It seems pretty easy. I already has an electrical outlet in the same area for the hard water conditioner so it was easy to add in. It's hard to tell how effective it is because it has only been a few weeks, but it seems like it is working as advertised.

  • Wished I would have known about this product 8 years ago
Wasn't sure this would help on well water system but it actually cuts down on the limestone scale in faucet, shower heads, toilet tanks. Be advised you will still have deposits in your icemaker ice cubes.
