My AK-V's SBA3's brace flaps (whatever they're called) weren't sitting flush out the box even after adjusting the strap. This piece solves that brilliantly with handy cutouts for the strap to hold it in place.

I really like this product. I purchased several plugs to try out and initially thought I would end up returning this style of plug. After getting it in my hands and installing it, I decided to keep it because I like it so much. The fit is perfect, and it offers a feature that no other brace plug has. This plug can be secured in place using the brace strap. That makes the installation and removal of this plug more time consuming, but it also means that this plug is much harder to lose. This plug will never fall out unintentionally. That one feature may not sound like much for people who store their guns a lot, but it is a HUGE deal for people who transport their guns a lot. I will point out that this plug is thinner than some of the other plugs available on Amazon. So this plug is not as strong or rigid as other thicker plugs. So if you need maximum resistance to crushing force, than maybe choose something thicker. However, for anyone that needs a part that will stay put and not fall out during transport, then this is your best bet in my opinion.

I couldn’t be happier with this Storage Plug Lock-in Insert, Split Fix for my SBA3 SB Tactical Braces. I was hesitant at first due to the lack of a retention ring around the outside of the insert. But, that was for nothing. My SB braces had been in use and in storage for a while now and were really out of shape. This insert fit snugly and stayed in place. It brought the arm portion back into its designed shape. The brace now feels structurally sound with the arm strap tightened. This plug is an excellent piece of equipment that I have zero worries or doubts about it not keeping the shape of the brace perfect. I truly believe you will not find a better storage plug regardless the price. I have three on various caliber AR 15’s and another on a .308 Savage 110 PCS and I couldn’t be happier. I would definitely recommend this storage plug to anyone.

The strap lock one works great. Pairing this with a knock off SBA3 is the way to go. Feels no less sturdy than my magpul stock. And the whole combo is under $40.
