This is an awesome fishing rod holder/tackle station. We were looking to streamline storage for our most used rods and gear and this was the perfect solution. The design of the rod holders is well done, and the shelves have ample space for organizing. I bought the premium version as a christmas gift for my husband, and I'm glad I did. The addition of the back board is very useful. Assembly was simple (and kind of fun), with the exception of that top piece...be careful not to hammer the metal rods in too hard with the rubber mallet provided as they can bend slightly making it difficult to slide the disc/bolts for the backboard in. First a word of caution = this unit is better suited for ocean rods and reels as shown in the picture. It does not like spinning rods. However, that said, I am using for baitcasters and a couple spinning rod and reels and it works okay. The problem with the design is the slanted bottom plate the rod butts sit on. I may see if there is a way to bend these so they are more horizontal. I would as the manufacturer to consider this for freshwater rods and reels. I like the pro model with the metal pegboard and there is ample storage available in the shelves. Seems sturdy so far. Also they provide a rubber mallet for assembly which is a great thought! ... show more

First of the packaging is immaculate. I got the pro version and everything felt quality it even came with a rubber mallet. The installation instructions couldnt be easier and it even came with a large poster like instructions sheet. I can believe this price for this amount of quality. I was at first very leery of spending $100 for a tackle/rod rack sight unseen but when I put it together I realized this is a $100 product. The quality and sturdiness is higher than I expected and much better than what I have seen of the flimsy wire racks that are sold at the big box sporting goods stores. Would be 5 stars but the first time we ordered it showed shipped and never did. Couldn’t get ahold of anyone for days but finally got the refund 6 days later and took a chance and purchased it again due to it being the only one my son liked. Got it the second time with no issues. While I question the customer service the product is great and for a good price compares to others. Great way to organize my son’s poles and tacked boxes and it is mobile which is convenient. All parts were in the box and it was easy to assemble, only took about 15 minutes.
