connection is upside down, still works for me sine I can flip the drive cage upside down too, irritating none the less though. So, I used this item to repair the SATA connector on a hard drive, but not more than a few weeks later, the SATA bracket on this extender also broke off -- ruining the drive cable and rendering itself useless. Fortunately I had bought more than one. We'll see how the rest work.

I bought 2 of these just in case, It worked perfectly for me. I broke my hd connector and thought my Pc was toast. I got this connector and it helped me fix my pc. I writing this review on my pc now, so yes great sata connector. There are videos on the tube of how best to use this connector if you ever brake your hd. Perfect buy for me. ... show more

    • The adapter does indeed match the product images
The adapter matches the pictures. I read some of the older reviews saying it was opposite but thankfully I did not run into that issue. I specifically needed the adapter pointing down and it is exactly what I needed.

Item was exactly as advertised! Let me be more specific. Right Angle Adapters as shown and received by myself enable the user to attach the SATA + Power connections from the bottom of the device (Higher in the cage for HDDs or SSDs, etc.). Left Angle Adapters, enable the user to attach the SATA + Power connections down from the top of the device (Lower in the cage for HDDs or SSDs, etc.). ... show more
