  • AWESOME Power Wheels motor replacement!!! (Important Info for Conversion)
AWESOME Power Wheels motor replacement!!! I did the 24v conversion on my son's Power Wheels Jeep, and it took about 2 hours before the stock motors burnt up completely. After some research I chose these motors to use to replace the stock ones, and I've since stepped the voltage "down" to 18v for reliability. These motors will handle 24v, but I'm not willing to see for how long, plus the stock Power Wheels wiring/foot pedal/gear switches get too hot. The motors have been running on 18v with no issues even hauling 85lbs. worth of kids on grass/hills. ***EDIT*** Over one YEAR later, and with 100lbs. worth of kids driving it on thick grassy yards, these motors are still FANTASTIC on 18V in the Power Wheels Jeep. I've added pics of the motors installed into the gearboxes, and am adding a short YouTube clip of when it was first done this time last year. [...] You will NEED some extra parts to install these into the Power Wheels gearboxes though. - 4mm machine screws that are longer than the stock motor screws - washers for the 4mm machine screws (to space the motor in the gearboxes to set the pinion gear depth) - 32p pinion gear for 5mm motor shaft (make sure to get the tooth count right - mine was 19T and was ordered on Amazon and, Traxxas does NOT offer 32p/19T/5mm pinion gears!) I set the pinion gears as deep on the shaft as the set screw allows, then used washers to space the motor against the gearboxes to set the pinion depth correctly. If there is any interest I'll add pictures of the install. ... show more

  • Lots of power on the Powerwheels upgrade at 24v!
The media could not be loaded. Ran 775 motors with a new gear pinion for the drivetrain into the gearbox at 24v on the corvette stingray. I haven’t speed tested yet but I estimate it goes about 11mph or so. The motors handle hills great with no lag. I can’t tell a difference in speed between OEM motors but the power is definitely much higher. I mean it can handle more torque. My 65lb 8 yr old can drive it now with no issues. We burned up the OEM motors going uphill on grass. Bad idea, but expected. We also installed a brake suppressor and a 40amp breaker. We were burning through 35amp fuses too fast. Some say dangerous. My husband says dangerously fun! ... show more

  • Power wheels rips
The media could not be loaded. Purchased another 775 motor pair before this. It was half the speed once installed with the same configuration. Worth the money

  • I love it! Very cheap and simple to install
Have a Brushed 1/10th E-Revo decided to get 2 2s Lipo 5000mah batteries and smoked both the 550 motors about 15 minutes into the first run. Took out the 550's and replaced it with this motor. Runs much cooler, has more torque, top end speed seems about the same to me. I love it! Very cheap and simple to install. Plan on using this motor till I go brushless. Pinion I used was Traxxas 5646 20-T 32-P ... show more

  • Power Wheels Replacement - Adding Torque and Speed
I purchased (2) of these to replace the 550-sized OEM motors in my granddaughter's Kawi KFX ride-on rig. I was pleased to find that the gear case has the extra "larger" holes already so purchasing the M4 screws is all that was required to mount the Titan 775 monsters aboard. Don't let the dual leads on these motors spook you - just use (2) or tie like-pairs together. Either works fine. The KFX was running the traction "helpers" (rubber bicycle tire mod) and on 18V ever since I bought the rig "new" for her. It lasted for about (2) years when one motor burned out. I was looking for a replacement motor that could better-handle the 18V source, (you can never go back to 12v) without the threat of burning out the windings. I also purchased the 32P 19 tooth pinions (to fit the larger 5mm motor shafts) here on Amazon. Using #8 x 1/8" long plastic spacers to shim the motor when mounting it, it placed the pinion to run "centered" on the first gear nicely. Without correcting for/verifying that it would have been misaligned and probably shredded the gear. These motors do draw a bit more current than the other OEM motors, but that is expected of their size, etc. - but I usually keep a spare battery "pair" (12v and 6v) charging - on standby anyway. The results of this upgrade yield a tad faster top end, (even comparing to the original motors on 18V) with noted additional torque as a bonus. I was pleased to see that - considering the lower 10T motor, compared to the originals. I did not want to lose any top end and so far - so good. Now I know what many of you are thinking - How about 24V? I don't think so. Not now anyway. The wiring will get warm after an hour run as it is and I don't want to risk damaging the gear case or burning more motors. These motors are a bit expensive and longevity is yet to be proven, (I only have a few hours on the rig so far). I am satisfied......for now. Liability for installing such modification to this (or any) toy of course lies" totally" upon those who perform it, but so far as "the smile factor" witnessed thus-far - I recommend these motors. ... show more

  • Stupid strong
These motors are stupid strong…. My Esc wasn’t ready for the extra amperage draw. Just keep in mind that if your at or near your ESC limits then this may push it over the edge. I say this as a heads up , but definitely buy one, get two or four

  • This motor is better then two!!!
I bought this to replace the two 550's that come stock in my Erevo. This motor mounts where the Reverse rotation doesn't.(back side of motor mount) It serves the purpose of both 550's with just as much power. The motor is a little bigger then the 550's, but it has just as much torque and speed as the two motors combined. I did not run the other motors long enough to find out which held a better charge, but I get about 15 solid minutes out of my Erevo with this motor. I think it makes the car lighter as well. Funn!!!! ... show more
