6 weeks later and I have my first peony bloom (in south Florida!) I am so impressed with this purchase! I just tried to keep it as cool as possible, moist soil, partial sun, and used a bit of transplanting solution in water after planting. Barely had any growth and then came back from a 2 week trip to find a large stem and small bud!! I was so impressed!! Other than that very little effort beside waiting with baited breath that this bud would actually open-which it did! Hope it stays healthy, gets strong, and delivers more blooms! ... show more

I usually do not write reviews, but I am so impressed with this product. Came perfectly packed, arrived super fast, planted same day of arrival and 3 days later plant started growing. It's been a week and is growing amazingly gorgeous. Prior to ordering this one (exactly 3 weeks prior), I bought 4 Peony roots at home depot, planted them same day I bought them and still waiting for them to come out. Disappointment. Having numerous other peonies in the yard I decided to purchase this one. It arrived dry and really small. So no it didn’t come up and I carefully marked the spot. Perfect soil, shade, water, zone 8. Nothing. Not a single one I ordered had more than 3 eyes. All super tiny and dry. Being hopeful I planted them. Bummer ... show more

They are stunted but alive and appear healthy. This plant just do not grow.

    • Unfortunately did not grow at all.
I was so excited to grow this plant. My dad and I have been taking care of it from the beginning and watering it with love. However, the root completely died within a couple of days. When I tried to dig it out from the dirt to see what could be wrong, I noticed it was dissolving into the dirt. This was very unusual as it’s never happened with any of my other plants. Definitely would have asked for my money back as it was not cheap but was not able to. I recommend maybe a more local option as they give more guarantees. ... show more
