It’s hard to find a lightweight jacket in stores so I tried this. I bought the burgundy, which is a wine color, not red. Based on another review I got a large because even though I’m 4’10” I’m very overweight (150). It’s loose enough to wear a light sweater underneath, which is just right, so I don’t want to try a smaller size. As expected, it’s a bit long but at my height every coat is; the sleeves are a bit long but again, this a normal problem for me due to how small I am. This is a must-have in your wardrobe! I like that it’s lightweight enough for traveling but also has enough body to it that doesn’t make it look cheap. The tan color is a perfect fall hue. The size small fits perfect (5’9”, slender). Overall it’s a classy trench coat!

LOVE THIS COAT. BUY IT. I’m 5’ 2 1/2 inches tall and 127lbs. 36C. Athletic build. The Medium fit perfectly. Love: -Slightly oversized hood to cover all of my hair. -Option to tie or button -Length is NOT mid-thigh causing stepping and walking in the rain to splash on the back of my thighs/butt. Length is thoroughly to my knees preventing that step splatter that happens with wait/hip/thigh length coats. -Light lining. Beautiful plaid. Heavy enough to keep me warm in high AC rooms in FL but doesn’t cause me to sweat. -Pockets are perfectly angled at my hips and deep enough for cellphone, keys, etc -I can wear it open without the tie strap falling if I just loosely loop the ties on each side twice thru the side loop holes. ... show more

I have purchased this in numerous sizes and incarnations. The four sizes have either been too large or too small. I then found and ordered a different raincoat that is waterproof with a detachable hood, it is slightly longer, and machine washable. It also has tortoise shell buttons to fasten its double-breasted opening and a buckle of the same for the belt. Overall, it's more expensive looking. So, I purchased it. ... show more

Purchased this trench coat for an upcoming trip to Ireland for 12 days. I plan on carrying the coat on the airplane, then stuffing it in my back pack while abroad. Dual purpose as a coat and raincoat. For me....fit is very slightly smaller than expected, but I do have broad shoulders. I can't say enough about the stitching and material, very pleased.
