I am so impressed with this jacket! Right out of the box it was substantial weight so I knew that it was good quality material before I even took it out of the bag. Then when I did get it out, I was even more pleasantly surprised! The material is the quality of more expensive, name brand jackets. It’s very soft but sturdy for a rain jacket. Doesn’t feel rubbery or plastic at all. The inner lining is really soft as well. And I love the contrasting red plaid color. It is a bit heavier than I was expecting, but definitely still a lightweight rain jacket. It seems like it’s going to hold up well and do a good job keeping me dry. As far as sizing, I am in between a large and extra large, so I ordered the XL, because I would want it to be a little bigger rather than too small. However, the XL looks a little too oversized for my liking, so I am going to return for a large. If you’re going for the oversized look, go ahead and size up one. But if you want a more fitted, tailored look, you would be fine with ordering your normal size. I have never owned a “trench” coat but have known for years that it is considered a wardrobe staple. I am 5’6” 117 lbs and bought size S in black. I love it! It’s heavy weight and the material is soft and feels to be of quality. I absolutely hate the plaid interior lining, I thought it would be the reason I’d return it, but I removed the hood and now you can’t see the lining! I would probably rarely use the hood anyway. The belt and belt loops do sit too high as other reviews mentioned, but it’s not a deal breaker. The belt is more up around my rib cage, not my waist. It looks ok! I love this coat and it is big enough to wear over winter sweaters! The sleeves are also long enough which is always a plus. It is a bit boxy but since when is a trench coat supposed to be super figure flattering? I’m going to wear this to work at my office everyday this fall! Love it! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Looks like this item has been returned by a previous buyer. I have 2 saphirose jackets and they were packed well in a saphirose plastic bag. However, this item was not even folded well and packed in a common plastic bag. However, the coat looks great, it fits me well. I ordered small and I am 59kgs, 5'3". ... show more

If you are thinking twice don't think again, just buy it! I was concerned about quality, like anything else I buy online that does not get the "touch" test. It is amazing - I would potentially size down though. This coat is flattering, lots of quality and waterproof. Did I mention the hood was detachable...well it is. You won't be disappointed. For reference, I am 5'9" and around 148 lbs - medium is perfect....maybe even a little big but good for a sweater underneath. ... show more

The fabric feels high-quality and the fit is true to size, but I was hoping the lining would be tan and blue plaid. I received the red & tan plaid lining. My other issue with the jacket is that the sleeves are wide so it looks a little sloppy on me. I would have kept it if those two things were different. ... show more

I had to return it because it ran VERY small for my usual size but I really liked the weight and quality. They didn’t have a bigger size so I couldn’t reorder. My advice: whatever your normal size go up 2 sizes.
