These are working well for me and the brackets are heavy duty. The only problem I had were the screws are cheap and the heads twisted off when I was screwing them into a wood beam. Using the screws in drywall they probably would be fine.

My helmet is a XL and my wife's is a small and they both sit upright without touching the wall or even the brackets, easy to install but definitely recommend installing on a stud, only got lucky with one of ours, they've been up for awhile and haven't budged from taking them off and on

Overall I think the hook and ball looks and works great. However the screws that came with for installation were insufficient. The whole thing came out of the wall as soon as I put a helmet on it. I already had better drywall anchors so I used those and now it works great. It's not the first time I've had the provided screws not be a good as they should be. I'm able to hang two padded motorcycle jackets (one of them quite heavy,) padded motorcycle pants, and of course my helmet, which is on the cheaper side hence quite heavy. All this to say, this is a sturdy piece of equipment and a perfect solution for the problem it's out to solve.

The enclosed mounting hardware is not so great, so I went to my local hardware store and purchased better wall anchors. Once I got everything installed, everything seems to be fine. I use them to hold my different helmets, the brackets function very well.

I like the mount as it helps keep my helmet out of the way and display's it at the same time. The drywall anchors however are junk and pull right out the moment I put my helmet on it. Unless your able to screw it into the stud Your going to want to use toggles or you will risk having your helmet fall. ... show more
