I copied over 1000 files into the drive When I copy them back out over 60 of the files were corrupted and couldn’t be opened The computer is 6 years old with windows 10 I don’t know if the problem was with the drive, windows 10 or the computer hardware When you copy files into the drive the only way to know if they are not been corrupted is to copy them back out and the you can check them ... show more

I have had a 2tb version of this for 3 years, for my 50,000 photographs. I keep that one attched at all times, and run LightRoom directly from it as well. I bought this smaller 1tb to use for Time Machine backups. It is even smaller in physical size than the 2tb. Very handy, slick, and perfect for travel too. The only negative: In the pictures it is shown attached to a MacBook using a USB-C to USB-C cable, but the cable in the box is USB C to A. So I haver to use an adapter on it. Bummer!
