It took me forever to make a decision on what tablet I wanted since I don't like spending money. What I mainly needed the tablet for was to play my ifit app so I could have a bigger screen to watch while I was on my treadmill. At first I got a huge 18" travel monitor, which was wonderful, but it didn't have its own power supply, so I returned it immediately. I saw some of the negative reviews for this item, and was very nervous about the quality, but was happily surprised to receive it, have a quick, easy set-up and immediately be able to use it for my workout. The size is nice, the screen quality is amazing for the price, the touch screen is as sensitive as my S9 Galaxy Phone, and the battery life is outstanding. I really have to say that it is like having a larger version of my phone. It is that impressive!! I am not sure what you intentions are for using this device, but if you are having any reservations or concerns about the quality and ease of use, don't hesitate to buy this item!!! ... show more

ALERT: My review is not so much about the tablet as it is about the OS and apps installed on it. As far as the tablet goes, its very clean and has a FANTASTIC display when compared to the old Tab 3 8" model its replacing and a really good-sounding Atmos surround system (minus any sign of bass, of course!). Unfortunately, this is a Samsung Galaxy product, and it must written somewhere that Samsung is required to load as much Google crap as they can onto every product they manufacture! After setting it up and screwing with it for 2+ WEEKS (thank goodness I bought it a full month before Christmas, I anticipated this happening), I finally said F#*% it and rooted the damned thing!!! Titanium Backup to the rescue!!!!! I froze almost 30 apps/services, most of it from Google stuff, and it now runs like a rocket! Battery life is great, with light/medium use it is lasting about 3 days on a single charge. With no use, sitting on my desk, it lasted 12 days without a charge and still had 18% battery life left. Before root, it would constantly "ding" at me to turn on this, register that, enter my info, log into something, update these apps, etc. After root I was now able to just wait for those few remaining pesky Google warnings to pop up, determine what app was whining and used Titanium backup to freeze it, or just turn off all notifications for that specific app, something Samsung does not allow you to do on 99% of the installed app without rooting the device, even though its possible for them to allow if they really wanted to. I guess all of this in the name of security--or more truful, less tech support requirements from Samsung. Bottom line here, at least for me, is that this tablet is wonderful, but only if you get rid of all the unnecessary garbage. I highly doubt there's too many folks using a 10 inch tablet to pay via google pay at checkout counters! Most of the time these tabs are used to play videos, watch youtube and browse the internet, and not one of the apps on the stock device does this without a bunch of nagging to register or update them! ... show more

I was looking for an inexpensive tablet to play simple android games and use the web to pay bills. I sought out for a low-performance $100 tablet. These do not perform well. They have install problems or advertisements or poor processing power. This is one step up and works well, even to watch video. This is the lowest price table of acceptable quality I have found. I experienced two minor annoyances: It seems that it does not always go to sleep properly and then I have to charge it before I expect. I still haven't worked out if that's my fault for picking the wrong setting somewhere or not closing my apps. Still, it provides hours of battery when playing Hay Day. It is a little hard to use the login screen. When "waking up", it seems a little laggy. The number buttons for the security code are small. I mean it's a big screen, why is the keypad about 1/9 of the screen? ... show more

I am a huge fan of Samsung products and was absolutely thrilled when I decided to get the 10in Galaxy Tablet. I loved how it synced with my phone (Samsung Note 9), how it synced with the majority of my Google apps but, then I ran into a major snafu and it literally brought me to tears. I used my current Kindle Fire 7in for all my reading and streaming services. The Kindle app worked great no issues,no issues with Google Play books, Audible, or Spotify. My problems began with the streaming apps: HBO Max, Peacock, CW, Prime Video, and others fine with the exception of TWO major streaming services HULU and Netflix!!! There is NOT a current version of them that is compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7. I was perplexed. I had no issues with HULU or Netflix on my Samsung Galaxy Note9. I searched and searched for a solution and even emailed the support services for both streaming services but, no luck - just that at this time a compatible version is not available nor, do they know when one would be. Sounds crazy but, true - so in the end I chose to return my fancy new Galaxy Tablet 7. I am just a bit broken hearted and a touch jaded but, I still love Samsung after all the problem with the app compatibility is an issue with the app creator not the Samsung tablet. One day when it is solved I will get Samsung tablet. It is a beautiful, quick, light, and easy to use tablet for an excellent price. ... show more

I had an 8" Samsung that was getting a little old and tired, but I never had a real issue with it. I bought this 10" one and it is great. It is fast, has longer battery life, brighter screen and being able to get 64g is a super plus. Samsung has a great transfer process for all your apps and stuff. The instructions are confusing, but it works really well. Note: If you are upgrading from an older tablet, keep the old one to use for other stuff around the house. After the new one is up and running, reset the old one and only put the few apps that you might need on in it and use it for home cameras, alarm and automation. I have my old tablet mounted on the wall at eye level in the garage and permanently powered. I can check cameras, listen to music/news and watch how-to videos for projects. I can even watch sports on it via my Dish Anywhere service. It is also connected via BT to my garage stereo. ... show more
