I bought the Galaxy Tab A to replace an iPad that was no longer supported. I couldn't be happier. It is light enough to comfortably hold for extended periods of time, yet sturdy enough to toss into a backpack without worry. The design is sleek and pleasing to the eye. The processor is as speedy as I'd like it to be and the 16 gig storage is more than adequate. It connects to even weak WiFi signals mostly always maintains connectivity. My only complaint is that Samsung does not provide regular security updates. Android publishes monthly security updates, but many device manufacturers, Samsung included, only update once or twice a year. The update issue withstanding, the Tab A is an excellent tablet at a great price. ... show more

    • Good product...fast delivery
Normally I do not buy a refurbished product and I was pretty nervous when I ordered this. The item arrived 1 day ahead of when it was supposed to arrive. The packaging was old and worn-out but the tablet was in pristine condition...just like new! It worked right out of the box and i had it up and running in a couple of minutes. I have installed Kodi on it and it streams flawlessly. The screen seems to be a bit darker than what I expected, even when i turn on the brightness up but this is only when it is playing movies either on Netflix or on Kodi. If I look at the other apps, in general and the main screen, its bright and nice. One issue is the sound...its not quite what i would have wanted its low...even when i turn it all the way up. The headphone jack does not do a good job. Probably that's why it was refurbished. Anyway, I am happy with the price and the tablet in general. Maybe even an original Galaxy Tab A 10.1 would be the same. It had 16 GB storage and i expanded it with a microSD card for 128 GB (119 GB available) from Samsung (Evo). ... show more

Great value for the money. Got this to replace an aging 8" tablet and have been very happy with it for the limited time I get to use it. My wife borrowed this from me while we were on vacation, and now I can't get it back. The screen is sufficiently bright, and has a very good resolution at 1920x1200. Much better than other lower end tablets that still run 800p, which was a big reason for going with this model. Performance is very good, and it takes pretty good photos as well. The build materials on the sides/back are your standard matte black plastic, there is nothing special here. No metal around the edges or faux leather back like on the Pro models. But this also costs a heck of a lot less, and honestly, once you put this thing in a case like 99% of people do, you can't tell the difference anyway. Especially with the upgraded screen on the 2016+ models.. I may need to buy another one for myself, because my wife likes using it so much. ... show more

This device functions as expected and meets my needs admirably. With a 128gb card in place. A couple of quibbles: This device is a serious charge hog. Even when it's plugged in any heavy usage runs the battery down rather quickly. NO charger was included with this device. I invested a few bucks in an allegedly fancy charger that adapts to the devices it is charging. Despite this, the device whines about slow charging and says to use the charger supplied with the tablet,when I received no charger. Except for the power issues, it's just fine! ... show more

It did not work. I could not set it up without my old Samsung password I no longer had that. I returned it and, am getting a refund.

Great value! I'm impressed with the resolution of the screen and the speed of the processor. It shipped with android v6.0.1 (Marshmallow) but the upgrade to android v7.0 (Nougat) was available as soon as I checked. I tried multiple times over several days to do the automatic upgrade to Nougat but always got an error message that upgrade failed and to take it to samsung service center. I installed Samsung's Smart Switch app on my PC and the Galaxy Tab, connected the two via usb and ran the upgrade routine. It was sucessful on the first attempt. I am very happy with the purchase of the tablet and the upgrade to Nougat. ... show more

I ordered 8 tablets in total. 3 of them came with scratched menu buttons (very scratched). 2 of them came with the white protective bag (just like new). None of them came with the 32GB SD card which should have been included. So from 8 the success was only with 5 of them which is a little bit more than 50% ... show more
