It was locked to AT&T but later AT&T has a online portal to request unlocking the devices. I used it to unlock the tab. Even though it is unlocked, call functionality still can't be used as software wise it's locked to AT&T. I mean if you don't sign in to phone app using AT&T credentials, you can't make calls and neither your sim will activate. But it won't ask for a pin to unlock it when you insert a NON-AT&T sim. But it doesn't matter for me since I just use it home for minimal purposes like attending zoom sessions, drawing, etc. ... show more

I bought this tablet because it was a good price and it had a really large screen which I wanted and this is been the best tablet I've ever had it's fast it's got a really big screen you can watch movies play games and for the price you just can't go wrong so unless you just want the newest tablet I would definitely recommend just going with this tablet because it does more than get the job done and it doesn't cost what the new ones cost. Muy buena tablet, llegó todo bien empacado y con todos sus accesorios, el cargador no es el original pero funciona. Tiene un rayón en el lateral pero el funcionamiento hasta ahora es bueno. Una actualización después de unos días de uso: el lápiz no es el original, funciona pero no se va a conectar a la tablet, es decir, no podrás usar las funciones de air command, además, no tiene la misma sensibilidad a la presión ni a la inclinación que el original, para usar la tablet y tomar notas está bien, pero si lo quieres para diseño o dibujo debes considerar eso. ... show more

If you upgraded like me there are several issues that need to happen for this to work. First off is the sims card update, iem number updated with ATT, and about 2 hrs with ATT to get tablet working correctly. Great product and hope it last for a long time
