  • Great cart but remote uses batteries.
Color: White
I like the golf cart and it works great. The remote control should be designed with a rechargeable internal battery that can be plugged in to charge. The cart lithium battery holds a great charge. Work on the remote.

  • NIce product with a couple of flaws
Color: Black
I've gone back and forth between three and four stars but due to the flaws noted below, I decided on three stars. I've played about 15 rounds with the cart and in general it works well and is easy to use, but I've found three annoying flaws. One, the elastic cords that hold the bag in place are not adjustable as the cords on a Click Gear (for example.) This hasn't been a problem so far, but I can see how it could be in the future and it is certainly a feature that I think should be on the cart. In a related matter, it appears that if the lower cord needs replacing, one must thread the replacement cord through the bottom channel, push it through the hole in the ball, and then tie a knot small enough to fit the the hole in the ball, but not small enough to slip through. For the price of this cart, there should be a better system for this lower cord. The most troubling flaw is that there is no on-course indication of how much charge is remaining. I find this to be a serious defect and I probably would probably have looked more seriously at other carts had I realized this before my purchase. Also, the charger only shows a red light during charging and a green light when the charge is completed. I know a meter showing the remaining charge on the battery can be purchased separately, but I am aware of electric cart systems that cost much less that this one that have features showing remaining charge during a round and status during charging. I will add that I have had two or three occasions to contact customer service and they have been prompt, professional, and helpful. In short, a good product with a small number of significant flaws. I'm not unhappy with the purchase, but I probably should have done a little more research on other items before I bought this one. ... show more

  • Good for flat course, difficult on hilly course.
Color: Black
I've used the cart for 5 rounds. In general it works well, but I'm not blown away. Here are a few comments... - Slope control isn't exactly controlled. If I don't significantly reduce the speed when going down hill, the cart would fly. I typically use the factory preset 1 or 2 when going downhill. - When going uphill, I have to significantly increase the speed to keep the cart in front of me. I start at factory preset 4, then increase speed from there. - Steering when going uphill is difficult to control. I have a cart bag, added bottles of water, 2 dozen extra balls, 2 sets of raingear, umbrella, etc. ‐ Any significant turn brings the cart nearly to a stop. - The clip to hold the remote isn't very strong. The remote falls off easily. I think this cart would work well on a fairly flat course. For my course (which is hilly), it's somewhat difficult and not ideal. **UPDATE** While everything I said above is true, when I used this cart on a flatter course, the experience was excellent. I've also learned a few tricks and how to better manage the quirks. It's not the carts fault that my course is extremely hilly. Changing my rating from 3 to 4. ... show more

  • Nice Cart
Color: Silver
Pros: 1. Adjustable handle and anti tip wheel (if you buy any electric cart, you need these). 2. Long lasting battery, it goes 36 holes. 3. Pretty easy to fold up into the trunk. Battery is easy to put on and take off. 4. People like the looks of it; it’s sleek. Cons: 1. The remote is a bit bulky; my friends remotes are thinner and easier to store in the pocket. 2. The housing for the remote is worthless. This is where the four-star rating comes from. My remote drops out of the housing when it hit’s bumps. Very frustrating. 3. All of these have weight distribution guides; if the bag leans to far one way or another it shuts the cart down. I have a bag with stands, thus, I put it on this cart backwards (legs up). For better weight consistency – for some reason the bag does not slide around as much in this position. Some electric carts have “follow me” mode. Not sure this is wise, I’d prefer a cart that was out in front of me. ... show more

  • No Off Switch for the Trolley
Color: Black
Standing over the trolley, I fiddle with the remote and the trolley on/off button trying to remember the instructions for how to turn the trolley off. I go inside and retrieve the manuals and I go back outside thinking I will surely find the instructions in short order. Negatory. This is my first foray with my brand new, day-old, GRi-1500Li and I am chagrined to find absolutely nothing in either manual on how to turn the trolley off. I re-read the manuals thinking I must be missing something, that there is no way that particular direction should be omitted. Sweaty, I go inside and Google how to turn off a Cart-Tek trolley. Nothing. But I do find electronic copies of the manuals, so I download those and search for the word off. Still nothing. I easily found how to turn the trolley on and the remote on and off, but both documents are silent on how to turn the trolley off. Exasperated, I called Cart-Tek, and I get to speak with someone in support whose name rhymes with lark. He relates how the collective wisdom at Cart-Tek debated putting something in the manual, but they decided it should not be needed. Finally, and I think sheepishly, he tells me the only way to turn the trolley off, is to unplug the battery. I'll be darn, I thought about that as a last resort, but I did not think it a prudent or reasonable normal operational procedure. Probably why they omitted that small tidbit from the manual, they were embarrassed. Then lark challenges me, "do I want to return the trolley?" In my opinion, Lark's tone is rather aggressive, and he gets braver by adding that in the 5 years since he's been at Cart-Tek, I'm the first to care so much about this oversight. Well now, since he's thrown down the gauntlet… I'm fairly steamed after sweating away in the garage trying to turn the darn thing off, so I am thinking seriously that is exactly what I should do. ... show more
