Phenomenal TV!!! Don’t listen to people on social media and allow the “Matte” screen to cloud your judgement! I’ve had several QLEDs and OLEDs in the past with a glossy panel. And the Matte Screen on the S95F is a game changer! It feels good to actually watch TV where the screen doesn’t look like a mirror. The only flaw with the matte screen is that when intense amount of light shines directly onto the screen, the matte panel will reduce contrast levels, so colors (preferably black) will look slightly dim and washed out unfortunately. The low quality content can be better tbh, this is where LG & Sony excels, but any content that’s 1080P & above (especially 4K HDR!) will look Phenomenal! Sometimes it even looks like it’s in 3D. Gaming on this TV is phenomenal as well! One of the best TVs that you can buy for gaming. To get the most out of this tv, it’s best to watch reviewers and professional calibrators go over their setting's for this tv. Or maybe you can hire a professional to calibrate your tv. But at the end of the day it’s not what other people like, it’s what YOU like! This tv has so many options and pre sets to change how your tv looks in different environments and for different content. So don’t be afraid to maximize your tv and go through the settings and pre sets to find what works best for YOU in a bright room/ dark room and for specific content.

If you’re in the market for a premium television that can handle anything from sunlit sports to midnight movie marathons, here’s what you need to know before you take the plunge. Note this is really for Samsung panels from 55-77 - which are the only QD-OLED panels this year. The 83 inch size is using very diffrent technology where these comment will not apply. What Makes the S95F Shine: Unmatched Brightness: The S95F is the brightest OLED Samsung has ever made. With peak highlights that can hit up to 4,000 nits, HDR content looks absolutely spectacular-even in rooms flooded with sunlight. No more squinting at dim scenes or drawing the curtains just to see what’s happening. However, I think in terms of Color Volume- the LG G5 has the S95F beaat which for the first time makes that TV look actually brighter than Samsung's flagship this year. Matte Magic: The new Glare Free 2.0 matte coating is a game-changer. Reflections are drastically reduced, so you won’t catch your own face in the middle of a suspenseful scene. This makes the S95F a top pick for bright living spaces or rooms with lots of windows. Stunning Color: It's using a QD-OLED pane so you are gonna get the absolutely best color gamut of any panel possible. SOme of the downsides of QD-OLED are they use a scatter plate so light will raise the black levels and hit the colors. But otherwise- the colors are unmatched by any competing TV. With nearly full coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, colors are vivid, accurate, and pop off the screen. Animated films, nature documentaries, and sports all look incredibly lifelike. AI Picture Processing: Samsung’s latest AI processor is a lot better than last year but the processing is not as good as Sony's Braiva 8M2, the LG G5 or even Panasonic. This matters mostly on lower quality/ lower bitrate content. A Gamer’s Dream: With 4K resolution at up to 165Hz, ultra-low input lag, and full HDMI 2.1 support (including VRR and ALLM), this TV is tailor-made for both console and PC gamers and no other TV can beat it gaming wise. Where the S95F Stumbles: No Dolby Vision: Despite its premium status, the S95F still doesn’t support Dolby Vision. If you’re a stickler for the absolute best HDR format-especially for streaming-this could be a dealbreaker. Matte Trade-Offs: While the matte finish is fantastic for fighting glare, it does slightly raise black levels and can reduce perceived contrast in very dark rooms. If you do most of your watching in a pitch-black home theater, you might prefer a glossy OLED. Sound Is Just Okay:The built-in speakers are decent and the Object Tracking Sound+ feature adds some immersion, but true audiophiles or action fans will want to add a soundbar or surround system. The Bottom Line: The Samsung S95F is a technological powerhouse panel wise. It's perfect for bright rooms, gamers, and anyone who wants a TV that looks stunning in any light. The matte screen is a showstopper for some but most people end up liking it. Its incredible brightness, color, and anti-glare features set a new standard for OLED TVs. However, if you’re a Dolby Vision devotee, a die-hard dark-room viewer, or looking for the best value, you might want to consider your options. For everyone else, the S95F is a dazzling centerpiece that has unmatched color range and outstanding brightness.

Wow. I’m excited to find something to watch in 4k. My broadcast provider service is only in HD, so most of the shows were underwhelming as pretty much expected, but there were a few commercials that I’m not sure were in 4k, but some of the graphics looked so 3D, they looked like they were outside of the screen and I could almost grab them. It was so stunning I believe they were created that way on purpose for the highest definition televisions. What a difference. Since then I’ve been extra excited to see a higher quality movie. Probably going to rent one. Setup was definitely tricker than any of my other televisions as I was on my own for most of it, albeit they are half the size, less than half the weight and required 2 screws for plastic stands. I was able to unbox this by myself even though instructions advise against it. I recommend opening a long end of the box to remove the heavy stand pieces if you don’t have help. I had to do so in order to slide the box gently up my narrow stairs. Wasn’t easy, but I managed all of the assembly on my own until it was time to lift the fully assembled television off of the table and onto the television console table. The stand makes it way too heavy for one person to lift with two hands, and the tv is too wide to safely do so anyways, since there are only a few safe spots to grab onto the television without damaging it(also clearly marked on the instructions). I had to wait a few hours for assistance moving it to its final spot. I wasn’t able to assemble it on the console table in the first place and just tilt it back up when finished because my console is far too narrow and close to the wall, and too heavy to slide out. It was easier clearing off my wide coffee table and laying a soft blanket as well as the protective sheet of foam it came with and work on there. The stand hangs down lower off the edge, which is why it can’t be assembled on the floor. It would seriously damage the television to try to do so. Assembly isn’t actually difficult to understand, it’s rather simple actually. Things slide/click into place beautifully and there are only a few easy screws. it just takes longer if you attempt any of the lifting steps on your own. Highly recommended two people, it would’ve taken 20 minutes tops. Once it was in place, attaching the connect to the back of the stand with the two screws, and attaching the cables, was cake. (Love that a longer cable is included just in case you’re not attaching the connect box directly to the television). Remote was already charged enough to setup, and everything went flawlessly from there on out. Setup was clear and easy. Had to create an account (turns out I already had one from 2016), and sign into a few things like Alexa, Peacock, and a few other services.. and then it time to enjoy. The sound is AWESOME. I don’t even need a soundbar. At least not in my current living room. I haven’t had the volume up past 11, and had to turn it down to 7 shortly as to not disturb the neighbors on the other side of the wall. My camera definitely doesn’t reflect how large the screen is, or the clarity of the picture, but it at least shows that assembly was a success and this gorgeous tv is fully functional. It’s also heavy and very stable, so I don’t feel the need to rush for wall anchors as suggested.
