This 55" Samsung TV did not disappoint. It offers a pure spectrum of color, meaning billions of colors ranging from deep blues, vibrant greens, rich reds and yellows, and deep contrasting blacks and whites, offering pictures so true to life it feels like you can just touch what you're seeing. The lighting offered through the mini LED processor was a step up from my 43" Samsung TV that it is replacing. This is the perfect size for my bedroom. Before, I would have to pause what I was watching to get closer to the screen so I could read text messages in various scenes. That's no longer an issue, as I can now effortlessly read even the smallest writing that appears onscreen. The TV has over 2,700 streaming apps and over 750 free channels for your viewing/listening pleasure. I'm fiddling around with the streaming apps and am contemplating getting rid of my cable boxes as I'm seeing all my favorite shows right through the TV. I've figured out how to customize the picture that works best for me and how to easily pair the set's Bluetooth with my various earbuds. While I am not a gamer, the colors, smooth visuals, and fast motion clarity would not disappoint. I'm honestly looking forward to exploring more features, because as I've learned with my phone and computer, just experiment. The worst that could happen is you have to go back to the TV's default settings. The set is 7.8"D x 48.2"W x 29.9"H and weighs 22.5 pounds. I sat it on top of my dresser, and it's a perfect distance for viewing from my bed. (Honestly, I was surprised by how deep its depth is. While the screen is much thinner at the top, it's much thicker on the lower back. I imagine that is where the magic is made.) The set has 3 HDMI ports, a USB-A port, a cable antenna port, and a wired ethernet connection. All your bases should be covered. I would definitely recommend this product. ... show more

This TV replaced a TCL Roku 6 series TV from 2018 with hopes to be an upgrade. There are some upgrades and unfortunately some negatives in our short time with it so far. The picture of this Samsung M70H is bright and clear, it has fairly even blacks that do not look too streaky or blotchy for this price range, but the negatives far outweigh the positives. The audio was on par for a flatscreen TV - it works, but not well so plan on adding a soundbar. At this point, TV speakers are only included to check a box, a soundbar or external speakers are a necessity. We like the streamline design from the front, however the side view is where this TV looks cheap with its nonuniform thickness and bad placement of ports - why are the HDMI 2/3 and ethernet ports on the back and not on the side so it can easily be flush mounted? At least the HDMI 1 eARC port can be used without sticking straight out to the back as it's the only one that is not. The included remote is a disappointment - clearly due to more cost-cutting efforts it has no backlit or voice function, the Bigsby app is preinstalled, but cannot be used without your cellphone having the SmartThings app. This TV is in our bedroom, and we do not like using your phone in bed to control it. Even the Roku TV from 2018 came with a voice remote. The single button is terribly small and placed in an almost impossible to find spot - on the underside of the infrared receiver and a good fingers-length back with several other bumps and ridges that also feel like they could be buttons. Since it is a multifunction button, good luck using it for anything but power, that is if you can find it. We were familiar to this in a way as the old TV had a single button but it was large and on the front making it easy to press as we walk by to not go hunting for the black remote in the dark. The OS further ruins the experience for us. Our old TV was laggy navigating throughout the OS and apps and since this was available we decided it was time to "upgrade" instead of going the route of adding a streaming box, which we probably should have. Strangely, there is no Apple HomeKit integration, only AirPlay functionality, again something missing that our 8 year old TV had so no hope consolidating into use of 1 app or even the built in iPhone and iPad’s Control Center remote. We already use SmartThings with our Living Room Samsung soundbar, so we were familiar with that clunky app that has gotten more bloated and sluggish over it's lifespan. Overall, this is a hard pass. If we could return, we absolutely would not hesitate to, and wouldn't even need the typical 14-30 days to determine that. Nevertheless, I would not recommend it unless the is the last option available, which it is thankfully not. The only reason to choose this M70H model is if you are a hardcore Samsung fan, need something with SmartThings compatibility, and don't want to spend a lot of money. ... show more

Light weight, very easy set up and beautiful bright picture color and clarity. We synced up to our soundbar with no issues and spent about 20 minutes attaching all of our accounts and changing our settings to our liking. Easy and happy.
