These rope lights were very easy to install and the red color looks good, but there’s no remote control needed. They work well for decoration, just not as bright as the pictures make them seem. Still a solid value for the length and build quality. Bright enough, easy to connect to mulitple strands.

This rope light was purchased to light up a dark hallway at the back of the house. Hooks were already there to put the rope light up one side and around to the other side, plugging it in for immediate use. The lights are bright and it made the hallway much safer to walk through and easier to see the floor for cleaning. ... show more

I actually really like the look of these lights, BUT they don’t last. I hung them in the middle of January and a week later a section went out. Because they were such a pain in the rear to hang (I hung them indoors) I left them. I’m moving in a few months and decided to ignore them. And now I would say half of the lights are out. They have gone out section by section and unlike Christmas lights, there’s no fuse or any other way to fix. They’re not expensive, so I guess you get what you pay for. Also make sure if you do buy them, you buy large hooks or clips to hang because the rope is on the larger size. I won’t repurchase, they broke WAY too fast. ... show more
