I liked them so much I bought a second pair. They are sturdy, and well-made. They provide a surprisingly good amount of light, and the brightness can be decreased to dim or off if desired. The light can be set to three different types: daylight, indoor, or mixed. They are rechargable and will last up to 12 hours when fully charged. After seeing them used at a couple of restaurants on their tables (no more squinting at menus in semidarkness), I don't think I'll ever put candles on my table again! This light set is awesome. I originally purchased them to use out on my patio for alfresco evenings, but found that I use them for practically everything! The fact that they have 3 different colors of light is fantastic, so you're lit properly no matter what time of day it is. I use them as extra lighting in my office and around the house, when I'm doing art in front of the TV at the sofa, etc. These are awesome for everything. One of my lamps broke, and the company was so hospitable and sent me a replacement within the week. I particularly like these lamps because they are short (10"), and all of the light is directed downward. No light directly reaches your eye in a normal sitting position. This is quite nice for evening dining outside and a treat for my elderly eyes. I prefer to use this set (practical, well built) over similar ones (better looking? but a cheaper build) with traditional lamp shades due to their lighted tops. However, both types have a place in my home. I had no issues with the provided charging cords connecting to any of my collection of USB chargers.
