Definitely the right choice for DIYers who don't want to overspend. While professional hand drills are better, they don't merit the cost for simple jobs a typical person does at home. I was able to use this drill for a DIY project straight out of the box without charging, and so I'm giving this high marks for function and cost.

I bought this drill driver for my wife because she was always borrowing my Dewalt and Bosch tools. I was not expecting much for the price,as she will only use it once in a while. WOW - Was I surprised when I opened the box. 20 Volt lithium ion battery, charger, drill, and all sorts of other accessories, including a flexible shaft. It has 18 torque settings, keyless Chuck, and a good light on the front. Great buy for the price at one third cost of my Dewalt. When I put the drill bits in n start to screw something in or out they just fall out! The drill itself is good! Just the part doesn’t stay tight enough to keep the bits in!

This doesn't have enough power for what I bought it for and will not work. I debate sending it back but decided it may be good for light work around the house. So don't expect a lot but if you just need a quick job completed it will probably work ok.
