I wish I took a picture. We got one of these for our Christmas trip! We have a highlander so we can’t hook their straps to the metal frame. My husband got the amazing idea to instead remove the straps and weave the ratchet straps through where the original ones were. We replaced both straps and added one ratchet strap around the center. Ratchet straps went through the open door. It was perfect. No ripping like the other reviews with this method. It rained and snowed during our travel and it was waterproof. Zipper quality was great. We will be enjoying more leg room now on our long trips. ... show more

I absolutely love this rooftop cargo carrier! I recently made a cross-country trip from San Diego, California, to Florida, with a stop in Oklahoma, and this carrier was a game changer. It allowed me to fit everything I needed for my move without any hassle. The durability of this carrier is impressive; even though it rained part of the way, everything inside remained completely dry and unaffected. In terms of stability, it stayed in place for the most part, although I did have to make some small adjustments during the long journey. Considering I traveled over 3,000 miles, it held up beautifully and did exactly what I needed it to do. We needed extra space for our cross country move from Southern California to Nebraska, and without a roof rack on our vehicle options for a roof box were limited. This product fit well on our Kia Sedona van and we were able to fit many vacuum sealed bags of clothes in to it, it could probably have taken several totes rather than bags as it’s very deep, but we made the decisions to put the totes in the back of the car. It latched down tight on the frame of the car and despite one of the zips popping the second zip held fast and the Velcro was very strong. We drove 23 hours with minimal stops and didn’t notice additional drag or noise especially. Just make sure you tuck in the straps. Within 8 hours of arriving in our destination, a huge powerful storm hit our new house (see pic of the storm building!) and our still unpacked car, we watched helpless as our U-Haul moving boxes were blown in to the neighbors yard, but the roof pack stayed tight and waterproof on to the top of the car. Really impressed with this buy and would highly recommend for short or long haul trips when a roof rack is not an option. ... show more

Took this on a camping trip, the space is amazing, it cinched down perfectly, i had to put a board underneath it to protect my moon roof, but other than that it fit perfectly on my roof rack. The straps took a little getting used to figure out the trick to tighten. The velcro is very strong. It functioned exactly how i needed it to, it helped so so much with allowing us to bring everything we needed. We packed blankets, 3 large sleeping bags, camping chairs, large tent, pillows, bike pump, tarp, and two queen sized air mattresses inside of it. We didn't get any rain so i can’t say if it was completely waterproof or not, but it survived a 5 hour car ride in Colorado without budging. My only complaint was the straps, and even then they just took some experience. Would give it 4.5/5! Absolutely awesome for the price ... show more
