Features

  • [COLOR & PATTERN]: SAFAVIEH's Natural Fiber rug features marble grey sisal fibers with a soft tan cotton border; as an authentic plant fiber, color and tone variations are expected and may vary with lighting.
  • [TEXTURE & PILE]: Woven marble grey sisal creates a highly textured surface with a naturally firm, structured feel and an approximately 1/2" pile; power-loomed with a cotton border for a clean, finished look.
  • [VERSATILE STYLE]: The Natural Fiber design makes a versatile fit for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, and home offices, complementing coastal, farmhouse, Scandinavian, transitional, cottage, bohemian, and contemporary interiors alike.
  • [EASY CARE]: Vacuum with suction only or no beater bar, or gently shake out debris; trim natural sprouting with scissors rather than pulling, and air out any temporary natural scent.
  • [ARRIVAL & RUG PAD]: This rug may show temporary creases from packaging; lay flat for a few days or reverse-roll briefly to help them relax. A SAFAVIEH rug pad is recommended for comfort, stability, and floor protection.
  • [TRUSTED BRAND]: For over 100 years, SAFAVIEH has combined quality craftsmanship with timeless design, offering rugs and home furnishings for every style, space, and lifestyle.
  • [BASED IN NEW YORK]: Based in New York, SAFAVIEH operates 13 retail locations across NYC, Long Island, Westchester, Stamford, and New Jersey, while bringing over a century of design and rug expertise to homes around the world.

    • Affordable Cecil rug.
Size: 14' Runner Color: Marble/Linen
I purchased several rugs for a vacation home. They serve their purpose. They’re affordable and appear to be durable, and attractive. The fabric banding around the rug, adds a nice decorative touch. My husband enjoys them as well, and requested that I order more, as a back up to replace in case it becomes dingy. I purchased a runner in front of my kitchen sink and a few more as a door mate. These rugs are not soft to the touch. They are a bit rough and feel scratchy. This is not a concern for us. ... show more

    • Great rug for a great price!
Size: 9' x 12' Color: Marble/Linen

My rug came in today and I am so happy!! I needed a large size for this room but I am on a budget so I didn’t want to spend tons of money. This rug looks very high quality but still came in under $500 for a 9x12. It’s been down for a couple hours and there are still a couple wrinkles but I’m sure they will go away with time. There is also a smell, but that will fade away in a few days as well. I do feel like the rug looks a lighter in person than the pictures in the listing do. I like the light color of the rug, but that is something to keep in mind. Lastly, I love the look of sisal rugs, but I HATE how they feel on bare feet. I decided that I liked how they look enough to get over my sensory issues, but I must say this one is not as scratchy as others I’ve walked on! It certainly isn’t soft or anything, but it doesn’t give me the heebie jeebies to walk on it barefoot. Overall, I can’t say enough about how great this rug is! ... show more

    • Beautiful!
Size: 9' x 12' Color: Marble/Beige

This rug quality and beautiful. I was worried about my desk chair having issues with rolling on it, but it’s fine. I will probably get a desk mat to avoid damaging the rug. I’m ordering another for my dining room now! It’s not that prickly either. I am able to walk on it with my bare feet. Definitely still a sisal feel, but softer than expected. Apparently you can place a towel down over the crease and iron out the crease that way, so I will give it about a month and if it doesn’t fall out, iron it out. ... show more

    • Great looking rug with some initial annoyances
Size: 9' x 12' Color: Marble/Beige
Review Image by Yanni Yanni
This rug looks great and high quality. It came with some initial annoyances though — the way it was packaged caused some the backing to stick together and it took 2 people to pull apart. It didn’t leave the backing sticky or with residue, so we still felt comfortable putting it on our floors. Second, the way it’s folded made a big crease down the middle. The trick to fixing this is ironing a damp towel on top of the rug on low heat. I was skeptical this would work but it got the rug looking brand new. Lastly, it stank really bad like rubber for 3 days but the smell has gone down immensely. Even with all those complaints I still love the look and quality of the rug. ... show more

    • Great value.
Size: 8' x 10' Color: Marble/Linen
This is a fantastic looking rug. I have purchased it twice, once for my son’s apartment and another one for my house. Delivery was right to the door, it came wrapped in heavy plastic and well protected. The rug arrived in great condition. We are using these rugs indoors. They have made a nice addition to our rooms. We ordered the beige and linen boarders. They are both nice and neutral. ... show more

    • Smell + Damaged
Size: 10' x 14' Color: Marble/Khaki
I am shocked to see good reviews. The rug arrived and appeared used in white plastic, no attached paperwork. When opening it, the entire rubber backing was physically stuck together on the sides. When pulling this apart, the backing stripped and ripped, putting holes in the backing, it was basically super-glued together on both sides and we needed two people to try to physically pull this apart. Besides the damage and used appearance, the rug SMELLED SO BAD like rubber/chemicals. There is NO way this is natural fibers on the backing. My entire house smelled and still smells even after putting this outside for return pickup. Save yourself some time and do NOT order this mess. ... show more

    • Experienced customer
Size: 8' Square Color: Marble/Dark Grey
We have three Safavieh rugs in our house. All told we’ve had at least six over the last five years. Only problem is getting the color right. They wear well and are very attractive. The sizes are slightly, a few inches, smaller than noted in ad.

    • Takes a Long Time to Flatten
Size: 6' x 9' Color: Marble/Beige
It's a beautiful area rug that arrived rolled, so I never expected for it take so long to flatten out. I unrolled it 10 days ago, and it still has visible ridges. Despite walking on it and putting weights on it, I cannot get it to flatten out completely. I may try re-rolling it in the opposite direction for a few days to see if that helps. I purchased a second identical rug in a smaller size, and I'm considering whether to return it knowing how long it can take to get these rugs to lie flat. Buyers should also note that this rug is not soft to walk on in bare feet and it stains easily when spills occur. ... show more
