I felt like I was taking a chance on this because the product photos weren't great and I knew I wouldn't want to deal with returning it. I'm glad I went for it because it's perfect for my space. I tried to get a better photo of the pattern for anyone who might be considering this rug. This rug is a light color, creamy with some shades of medium and light gray in the pattern. I thought it might be more gray than it is, but I will just try to make sure the family doesn't track dirty shoes through the room. I bought a 3/8 inch pad. The rug was rolled and packaged very securely and arrived a day earlier than expected. It is wool and so far has not shed much at all. I thought i might need carpet tape to hold down the corners, but after 3 weeks, the rug has flattened very nicely on my hardwood floor. So far, i am very pleased with the cozy look that this rug brings to our family room. ... show more

The rug easily frays and threads come out, especially if you have pets. Their nails can easily damage the rug. Also it’s almost impossible to clean any stains as it also frays the rug. I was disappointed with the rug but too late to return.

It is beautiful, modern design, well made, dense, medium pile wool rug. I am returning it with broken heart because I needed it for around the desk area and it is hard to move swivel chair over it. In every other location this rug would be beautiful and perfect.
