This rug is exactly what I was looking for! After moving into a new home, I wanted to buy something that could add some softness and color into our living room. The pattern itself is what caught my eye, as I wanted something that wasn't too "fancy" looking but still had a lovely pattern if that makes sense. Oriental rugs are great and everything but I wanted something different. The paisley is very nice. I took a pic up close to show the detail. It looks good up close and from across the room. Our dogs love it too. The big one prefers to lay on this over the couch when we are watching TV in the evening, hence the white dog hair you may see in the pictures :) It did not have any abnormal smells and took only a few days to straighten out. The edge was curled inward pretty badly but I fixed that by setting a full gallon paint can on it for a few days. The rest of the lumps and bumbs sorted themselves out very quickly. I got some double sided carpet tape to keep it in place. All is well and so far I am very satisfied with my purchase. ... show more

    • Beautiful, Attractive, Not Thick - A little Thin - Needs a Mat Under It For Sure

This is an attractive somewhat thin polyester carpet with very good coloration. It is about 1/3 the thickness of much better wool carpets (for instance the Heritage Safavieh Collection), yet is about 33% less. However, it can show detail and color saturation that the wools do not as again, it does indeed look very nice and appealing. However, as mentioned it is a little think and does not appear durable in the long run. I took off one star for being a little thin, however, because it is cheaper and a little more deeper in color and more detailed than some better wool carpets, for what it is, I gave it a four. Better buy a rug mat for underneath this. Mohawk has a rug mat with rubber on one side that works well and does not slide. Of course, now you are almost up to the cost of the nice thick wool Safavieh Heritage collection that does not need a rug mat! ... show more

This rug is very soft. The design & color is vivid-not muted or "worn" looking. It took a couple of days for it to flatten out after I unrolled it but looks perfect now. I'm very happy with this purchase so far.

This rug is a lot lighter cream than it shows on the screen. I wasn't sure if the red was a real red or burgundy when ordering which was very important to me, and after receiving it - it looks like a true red from one angle and from the other angle it looks like a dark burgundy. I GAVE THIS A 4 STAR BECAUSE THE RUG ARRIVED QUICKLY, WAS PACKAGED VERY WELL AND WAS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. hOWEVER THE COLOR IS REALLY DIFFERENT THAN IN THE PICTURE. This rug is absolutely beautiful, thick and so soft. It didn't want to lay flat after being rolled up in the packaging but after a night being left laying out upside down it lay completely flat.
