This is amazing how gorgeous this floor lamp is. I also have to say that the only other review that is added here is not entirely true. The product is not extremely heavy. The bottom is heavy enough to make this beautiful lamp sturdy. It's not the product's problem that somebody has super dynamic house life. It's not animal unfriendly. My cat can't care less. And if it's not standing in the middle of the room and if you don't have crazy pets who just knock down everything they see including yourself, you will not have any problems with animals around it. It's extremely easy to assemble, it took me a few minutes considering that you have to put up every string of capiz shells. It's packed wonderfully. it has TWO layers of shell strings. AND it comes with clear LED bulbs! Even though I am totally giving this 5 stars, there are couple things (four) that were a downside for me. 1. The cord is black. it absolutely doesn't match the design or vibe of this lamp. It really must be clear. 2. The cord is fabric covered. It took me one pull through the small whole in the base when I was assembling it to fuzzy down the cord. It no longer looks new. It's tucked in the corner behind the lamp, so you can't really see, but still. If it was clear plastic, it would not have this problem. 3. A few metal hooks were rusted!... Not that it's visible, but still. For the price, they could have used stainless hooks. 4. Couple strings broke in my hands, and I had to rewire them. It was not a big deal, but still a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, I think it's a beautiful product and deserves way more than 2 stars! I love this.

I bought this used (like new) for $80ish. Amazon description said the box would arrive damaged. The manufacturer stopped making this lamp so it’s very hard to get. Box wasn’t destroyed at all and the lamp and it’s components never had been taken apart and set up. So on Amazon’s front the package was great. I’ve been searching for this lamp forever and they had it used so I am happy with the price. The pro’s? its bright, provides a beautiful light spectrum on the walls/flooring, and has a unique design. Aesthetically pleasing! Con’s, it’s extremely heavy, and yes this lamp took a long time to put together. You have to attach and thread every shell thread at the top. Exhausting. This lamp is so far beyond delicate. DO NOT BUY if you have cats, puppies or small children. The sea shells are so THIN it’s scary. If the lamp is messed with and they are pulled on, or if they clash against others they will break and your lamp will look foolish. Each single shell has a tiny hole poked through to allow the fishing line to hook into it. Where I placed the lamp is not where I wanted it, but I am too scared to move it, it’s that heavy and I can’t stress enough the delicacy. The shells are not white but more of a ivory beige and have a lot of black and brown spots on each shell. Doesn’t look bad from far away but up close people may think you have a very dirty lamp. The lamp also leans. I tried dismantling it 4x and no matter what it always leaned back. Kinda stupid. I’m going to have to improvise and put something under the base. I originally set it up on level hardwood floor, same issue. Overall I am happy with amazon’s used-like new (basically a product return never opened or assembled), well done on their behalf. NOT WORTH the full price at ALL! Glad I only paid $83.

I was first hesitant to buy this but I am so glad I did! It’s absolutely beautiful. I was able to assemble this myself...you put the base together and then hang each shell string. Two of the strings broke as I took them out of the package but I think they can be tied back together. I left the two off for now and you can see in the picture that it’s not noticeable. So I do worry a little that the strings are fragile but so far none of them have broken after being hung on the lamp. I love how the lamp sounds like wind chimes! The base is heavy which is good because it feels sturdy and won’t fall over. The lamp comes with 3 bulbs and has a floor push button to turn off and on. Overall very happy with this lamp!

I probably paid too much, but it looks really good in my bedroom so I'll be keeping it. This lamp adds a nice beachy touch to the room without being too obvious. The little shell circles that make up the lamp are nice and thick so it doesn't seem cheap. It is a good height and the on/off switch sits on the floor which is very convenient. The base is nice and heavy so no chance of tipping and it is easy to assemble.

Such a beautiful lamp-wow! It’s very fragile so assembly takes time and patience. I did have 3 broken pieces and the company was very gracious and offered me a small refund which I felt was gracious.

It's a beautiful floor lamp. From the moment I saw it, I had to have it. I was afraid it was going to be a nightmare assembling it, based on other reviews, but it was bad at all. Took me about 40 minutes to unpackage, thoroughly check every shell, then assemble. It's a very cool lamp for the money. Unique in very way but also retro, reminds me when i was a kids in the late 70's, my mom's friends would have something like this in their livingroom.

So disappointed with this lamp! Tedious and time consuming to assemble especially because many of the holes in the capri shells were ripped through so the strands were in pieces. So bad unable to hang them and need to go buy some monofilament to put them back together with the extra shells that were provided. Looks pretty but is about 6” too short for me.

I absolutely love this beautiful shell floor lamp! It’s perfect for all of my beach decor. It was easy to assemble and looks beautiful with or without the lights on. It’s just not that sturdy.
