This is a really crappy rug. The quality is horrible. It’s like stiff yarn, not the soft kind. It doesn’t even lay flat. White is not white, it’s like a creamy white or light ivory. I had better expectations from Safavieh:( Def not worth $150 for 8x10

UPDATE - After three months of semi heavy traffic - holiday parties and my Shepherds using it daily as a wrestling mat - it has broken in nicely. It also cleans up easily! Overall happy with this one... ☺ UPDATE - we were in a bind and ended up using the rug in our living room. For the size and price, you will not beat this deal. It does look nice in our room, so I'm giving it a solid 4 stars now. The texture is almost crunchy when you walk on it, and it is def not a 2" pile, but other than that, it's a steal of a deal for under $150. This was a massive disappointment. The rug is super cheap and I am crazy sad because it looks so nice and plush in the images. The pile is half of what is advertised and it is super thin. The price was a steal for the size but now I know why. This bad boy is going back. Sad day. ... show more

This was not what I had expected. The image is the same no matter what color you choose, so I am sure I was confused. The beige was a lot darker than I had planned. But the main reason I sent it back was the texture and feel of the rug. Not plush or soft. Long pile but coarse and thin rug. I purchased another safavieh California shag rug from amazon and it was amazing in comparison--where you want to kick off your shoes and socks and immediately start dancing and wiggling your toes. ... show more

The rug looks better in the photo than it does when receiving it. I'm knocking one star off because it's clearly an ivory and I searched all over Amazon for a white one. This one claimed to be. I'm knocking two stars off for the plushness, or lack thereof in this case. I've vacuumed it and tried to fluff it up but I can see the backing through it. I've bought several rugs on Amazon and was pleased with them but I'm not pleased with my recent purchase. I had already thrown the box away on trash day before opening it, or I'd ask for a return/refund. ... show more

Having 2 dogs, with 1 being 16 yrs old, I didn't want to invest in an expensive rug. I realize that this is a cheap rug, but it's bad. I can see the base foundation fabric. It is horribly thin. I had purchased a larger sized cheaper rug from Home Depot and it's 100 times better than this Safavieh one. Since the smaller size I also needed was out of stock at Home Depot, I purchased this Safavieh rug. I was really surprised by the poor quality of this rug, because I already have a beautiful large Safavieh shag in my den that is beautiful. I never expected such a poor quality rug from Safavieh. I purchased this for a bathroom. The price at just over 22.00 dollars is amazing. It's not true white which I knew from other reviews. I wanted a creamy white so it's perfect for me. You need to reroll it opposite of the way it arrived to get the wrinkles to relax. You also need a rug gripper pad which I always use. I'm very happy with my purchase! It's been down for about an hour and after placing it over the rug gripper and vacuuming, it looks great! Vacuum to fluff up the nap, after all its been in a tight roll and wrapped in heavy plastic. ... show more

I purchased four rugs from this seller. I am very familiar with this brand so I was confident in my purchase. I was grossly mistaken. These rugs are horrible quality. They are cut out our plumb and this is visible with the naked eye. They rugs are thread bare and the backing is exposed. The rugs are dirty! My vacuum was filled with dirt, not rug fibers. I am disappointed that four bad reviews did not get the attention of this seller. They should not be allowed to sell this product on Amazon. I reached out to the brand and they do not care that this vendor is selling low quality garbage with their name on it. ... show more

Very nice area rug. I have gotten a couple from Safavieh and they are well made and usually have some pretty unique and unusual design features. I would recommend checking them out when in the market for a rug as they have a great selection. Here's a Tip: Once you find the carpet you like try copying the exact name or product number into the Amazon Search bar....I have found I can get a much better deal through Amazon on these than through other sources ... show more
