Very beautiful rug! Took about a week for it to finally lay out flat/settle but it’s very easy to vacuum with a cordless Dyson and thick. I hate the cheap looking rugs that are velvet top/you can see the lines in it. This was a great buy for the size and quality. Not too thick and not too thin. I bought 3 of these Beautiful Safavieh Rugs that are 2’3” X 4’ for 2 of the bedroom's, and 1 in front of the washer & Dryer, as well as a 3’ Square one at the entrance of the bedroom door for our precious Dark Chocolate Boykin Spaniel standing on it..so he can lay and see his people at all times. I especially Love the beautiful colors in the Amsterdam Collection with an ivory/ecru background and an array of colors that spices~up any room and fits in perfectly no matter what colors are on the walls, carpet, flooring, bedspread, or washer and dryer!! The great thing about their rugs is they are designed to fit~in anywhere you put them, they are low pile so they fit very well under doors like folding doors in the laundry room and bedrooms with carpeting. I do use padded rug pads under all of mine because our dog needs the traction due to his age and arthritis. They are sturdy and built to last! They have always been a staple in our home and will be for years to come…great price, selection, & delivery!! They do emit an odor for just a day or so, but that is normal due to the many yarns used in them and being rolled up from the moment they are made, there is a card in each rug that explains this and how you should place it in a well ventilated area for a bit to allow it to air out and to roll it the opposite way to get the wrinkles out. Soft, durable, stylish, well made rug and it perfectly fit my sunroom sitting area and under my round came table. It only took about 3-4 days for the rugs to settle down and lay flat on the floor. We added some rug tape to prevent slippage. Please forgive the couch pillows, which don't match the color scheme. It was just delivered and I wanted to show how the rugs looks perfect for the room. Size: 6'7" x 6'7" (Square) Color: Ivory/Multi
First of all it is really hard to find a square shaped carpet so I was happy when I found this one. It arrived sooner than expected. It came just wrapped in clear plastic. After I rolled out the carpet, I rolled it up backwards and left it that way for 30 min. I find doing this helps the carpet to lay flat better. Two of the corners didn’t lay completely flat so I put a couple of free weights on those corners. Within a few hours I was able to remove them. The carpet had a hint of odor to it when it was rolled out but that went away quickly. The carpet has a little bit of pile to it so it isn’t completely flat. It feels soft to walk on barefoot. There’s a nice binding around the edge. Overall, it’s very well made for the price. It’s mostly neutral with a nice pop of color so it would go easily with almost any decor. I have an 8 year-old boy and the rug cleans easily. I’m very happy with this rug and would highly recommend it. ... show more

Perfect thickness for my liking; not too thin but comfortable on bare feet. I have bought more than one of these rugs from Safavieh and am always totally pleased. They are durable and priced reasonable, easy to spot clean and look great. This maybe my all time favorite rug.

    • Beautiful but the smell is terrible!

I loved getting the 5'x5' Safevaih rug. Lays flat, great quality, love the look, colors vibrant, BUT the chemical smell is awful!! When I leave my apartment and come back, the smell is very pervasive. My cats don't seem to mind. I air out my apartment the best I can but the smell remains. Why does it stink like a chemical factory? Now I was just delivered the same rug only a runner for my front entry. It is still in the box. Afraid to open and intensify the stink. I would return it but I am disabled and it was hard enough getting the first one unwrapped and onto the floor, so I can't. Any suggestions on elimination of the stink? ... show more
