With the tip on and turbo mode, MUCH more powerful than my bottom of the line gas Stihl handheld blower. This mode uses LOTS of battery quickly, so I understand why it's sold with two batteries and a rapid charger. All work well. I also like it's quieter than either my gas or plug in electric blowers so hearing protection is not needed. Last, another reason I purchased this was just to have extra batteries for my Ryobi weed whacker for the occasional times I volunteer to knock down some of my neighborhood's common areas. I would have to make 3 trips if I was to use just the one battery that came with it. The last price I saw for a battery this size at Home Depot was $120, so getting a powerful blower and fast charger for just a little more made some kind of economic sense since I was wanting 2 more batteries to begin with. And yes, I do realize there are similar spec'ed off brand batteries available on Amazon for about half the price...but have you heard about off brand battery fires? ... show more

I've had a plug-in leaf blower for a decade and this product is so, so much better. WAY less noise--you don't even need earplugs/protection. It's quite light, powerful, and maneuverable. If you're looking for an all-purpose leaf blower, this is it.

    • Charger defective
REVISED 8/6. The charger is not faulty, the power plug was intermittent. However, once I got the batteries charged, the blower would only operated for 1-2 minutes and then shut down with both batteries, so the rating was not changed. The shipping box was re-sealed. The manuals, advertising sheets etc. were in disarray and the air tube had the nozzle already attached, All signs that it was used but there were no cosmetic issues. I put battery #1 on the charger, the light went on. I came back after an hour or so, and took the battery off the charger and it worked. I put battery #2 on and the light came on but immediately went off. I used battery #1 for 40min and put it on the charger...same behavior, red light on and immediately off. Ironically nany years ago I had continuing problems with a Ryobi charger (9v?), they discontinued the line and I vowed not to buy Ryobi again! ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It was pricy, esspecially with the extra battery I bought, but it really does the job. The turbo button is very useful … I didn’t think so at first but it proved me wrong.

    • Weight & longevity
The blowers battery does not last longer before a re- charge is required and a bit heavy, but it does have the power . Overall satisfied with the product and batteries work with my other Rubio tools

    • Battery doesn’t last that long
A fully charged battery lasted at most 15 minutes. Not impressive in my opinion. The blower itself is ok. Not that powerful. Would probably work for around the backyard but not for use beyond 15 minutes. I bought another battery with purchase which I needed to complete job in a hurry so it wouldn’t die on me too before job was completed. The whole package gets a grade C. Would have bought a different unit if I knew battery life was so poor. I thought Ryobi would have been better. Disappointing! ... show more
