This is the first pressure washer I have ever owned. I went by the recommendations that I found on consumer report and by the readings that customers gave it.It was well packaged and very easy to put together, you really did not need the instructions. The machine has an incredible amount of pressure for an electric motor. Everything about the machine is user-friendly and it’s an easy piece of machinery to clean up.     • Will it last?
I like its performance. It needs a hose reel for the pressure hose. Many other units that are cheaper from other manufacturers have more features. Does it cost more because of the name?

    • Defect in metal
Only used 3 - 4 times. Last time it started spraying water from just back of where the water hose connected. The metal housing had a hair thin crack in the side. Trying epoxy glue to fix it. Poor quality workmanship.

Replaced a gas powered Craftsman 3200 PSI pressure washer with the Ryobi 2300 electric. got so tired of having to work on the gas Craftsman every year from it sitting a year at a time. always an issue even though I would store it correctly. finally got tired and bought this Ryobi unit. Doesn't quite have the power the gas Craftsman had but once I got used to working with it became a breeze! The Turbo Nozzle really works great!! I used it on the fence and deck. Sometimes too much power can really tear up an old deck but this seemed to be just the right PSI to get it done. Plug in the Ryobi and hook up the water and you're ready to go! Using the pump additive when it's going to sit is no big deal. well worth the extra minimal cost of not having to buy a new carb rebuild kit for the gas unit and not having to pull my arm out of the socket pulling the starter rope!! I recommend this Ryobi but also recommend not going any smaller on the PSI. I wouldn't want anything less power wise. ... show more

Assembly was a snap, quite literally you just snap the handles on. Used it to clean my driveway, did not do as good a job as my gas pressure washer which has twice the pressure but it worked OK. I need to redo the job to catch the spots that did not come clean and be sure to take more time next time I use it. It's a good little machine, I recommend it for most household jobs. ... show more

    • Nicest electric pressure washer I have ever owned
I have owed a few electric pressure washers over the years, Karcher, Snap On, AR Blue Clean and now this one. With the exception of the AR machine, all my prior pressure washers were junk. The AR machine lasted about 5 years and then died in a cloud of smoke. This Ryobi definitely has more power than the AR, which was substantially better than my other machines. The Ryobi is much better to use than the AR though, as it has a "real" hose instead of the hard plastic, and it sits low and stable, so it won't tip over like the taller plastic machines. This machine cost a little more, but it is well worth the extra cash. ... show more

I live on a mountain with lots of trees, every spring the green pollen covers everything and I need to wash off the deck, patio, driveway. Unfortunately I'm getting too old to pull start my gas power washer, so I searched the reviews on an electric one. This one was one of the top reviewed, so I ordered one and used it to do my deck. It's not too noisy and with the right nozzle selected works great. It was easy to assemble, and wheel around. The power chord is long enough for my needs and though the hose is a little stiff its workable. So far I'm very pleased with this power washer. ... show more
