This pump and filter are AMAZING! Crystal clear water, perfect power, fairly easy to set up. We had a tiny pump that came with the pool (see the pic) and it simply could not keep our water clean. We took a big chance and bought this one (with the Luster Blue balls) and the difference is incredible!

The filter is fine. The pump ran for 8 hours before it melted down. I bought this combo for the filter and kept the pump in reserve for an emergency. Now I need an emergency replacement for my emergency pump.

This filter was difficult to install.. mainly bc the directions were awful and the included pipes leaked! But with some patience and purchasing PVC pipe to replace the included pipes.. we could not be happier! We installed this filter/pump on our above ground pool (4ft by 22ft round pool) and within 48 hours the water is crystal clear. We decided against draining the pool and just let the pump work its magic and it did just that! But not sure why the review is asking about the timer quality. It fireant come with a timer. We have purchased one and hoping it gets here today.

It took 4-5 tries to get the correct parts and accessories for the pump/filter. Eventually, all the correct parts came together and it works great. Don’t be in a hurry or assume it will be correct the first time. Eventually it will be great.
