For the price and quality it’s a five star. I made the mistake and did not measure my old one i don’t know how wide it was but it for sure was at least 10 feet wide this one is 8 and wishing it was longer on the wide side but happy with it over all. My awning is electric motor on one side and spring loaded on other side when taking off be careful also when putting tension on spring turn it away from trailer like 15 times or when it has tight tension on it .

DATE OF ORDER: 07/18/24 DATE RECEIVED: 07/26/24 DATE OF REVIEW: 08/26/24 PERSONAL BUY / PRODUCT TO REVIEW: Personal Buy DELIVERY: UPS - Came in a smaller box than what I would have thought and all folded up. Not rolled on a tube. But a few minutes in the sun and the wrinkles came right out. QUALITY: In our case, it was an exact OEM replacement. INTENDED PURPOSE: RV Canopy RECOMMENDATION: I make a HIGH recommendation to buy. The canopy properly fits. Our canopy bar is 18'. This canopy fit the tube with 3" to spare on each end. The OEM had 6-8" on each end and didn't cover the door area very well. This one does. PRO 1 - The material is thicker and heavier than OEM (18 oz versus 13.5 oz) PRO 2 - It costs FAR less than OEM. PRO 3 - It does come with example installation instructions. But it might not be your particular setup. CON 1 - The wire to the canopy light bar is not inserted or prepped. However, this canopy has double sticking on both sides. I was able to punch a small hole in the top end and bottom end. Then, use a fish tape. I attached the old wire and pulled it thru. Easy and worked like a champ. CON 2 - Because it is 18 oz fabric, it is heavier. I replaced the shocks at the same time as the old ones were 10 years old and not retracting well. With the extra weight of the fabric, it 'could' cause issues later but only time will determine that. COMMENT: Why pay the extortion of OEM? This one is MUCH, MUCH better and I believe will last longer. The project is much easier with two people. Watch the videos (ones similar to your design) available on the internet. It didn't take all that long to do. When threading the top into the track, BE CAREFUL. The edge is sharp if pulled incorrectly and could tear even the best of fabrics.

Last picture is old awning. Awning seems like better material than the one I took off. I put off getting a new awning for so long. My awning was deteriorating by the touch. I regret waiting so long. I got ridiculous quotes from RV shops. I watched a couple videos and it was easy. My original awning had a light strip but I didn't see the point of paying extra when I'm going to replace my awning more often in Florida. I found a camper LED light strip the length of my awning on Amazon for cheap. Very happy I did this myself.

Well made awning. The seams are well stitched and all channels are appropriately sewn in. The ribs are straight and the cloth is substantial. These can be difficult to install, it with 2 people and a can of spray silicone, it’s very doable. The fabric was made to fit perfectly, which it does. Great emplacement awning!
