  • After 1000 pictures I'm happy with it.
Color: Purple
First, I’m not a professional photographer and can’t justify spending thousands of dollars on a camera. Over a six month period I created a spreadsheet with specifications on almost 60 different cameras. I knew that Nikon was expected to release their P1000 camera and I was waiting for that. But at almost $1000 I had a hard time justifying it. So, I decided on the Minolta MN35Z. This replaces my Canon SX20IS that was released in 2009. I just got back from a Mediterranean Cruise including visits to the Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s Basilica. I took almost 1000 pictures. It is easy to get good pictures with almost any camera when outdoors and with good light. But when indoors like the museum and Basilica it is more difficult as would be expected. The Basilica is so large that a flash will not reach far enough. But, I did get good pictures if I was very careful holding the camera steady. With lower light the camera wants to take longer exposures so any movement will make a blurry picture. I have a tripod but in a crowded room and with so many pictures it just was not practical carrying it around. That would definitely help. This is a lightweight camera and the menu system is easy to use. At $195 it is a good camera. Yes, I would like the features on the Nikon P1000 and I still may get it one day, but this was a good selection to carry around on vacation with a lot of walking. If you are looking under $500 you need to take a close look at this one. Take a couple hundred pictures before anything important experimenting with manual and automatic settings. Experiment with various exposure times and the many scene options. ... show more

  • Wi-Fi? Nope
Color: Purple
I bought this camera specifically because I was looking for one to connect with Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth. The function is there, but you have to download an app to your phone called Link123 Plus. Which is worthless. It isn't compatible with the newer Android phones, and by "newer," I mean it hasn't been updated for over a year. The website for the app is no longer there and there is not assistance. Minolta needs to come up with an app that actually allows this function to work or stop selling the camera as having this function!!! ... show more

  • Shoots in 72dpi
Color: Black
Bought to get pics of wildlife out the backyard. Does a good job. What they don’t put in the specs is it only shoots in 72dpi. So can not crop and enlarge. I find it gives best pics in the “P” position I adjust EV for best lighting. I mostly use with max zoom. Anti shake does a great job. Battery life is excellent. Does not come with a charger. Need to use cable & charge in camera. Transferring pics via wi-fi is cumbersome, need to download app, change WiFi settings to camera reopen app download pics then transfer pics to phone/ tablet… just takes to much time. Nice design, easy to hold and shutter button is well positioned. Overall does good job especially for the price, I paid $125.00, not worth anymore than that ... show more

  • Very nice camera
Color: Purple
This is a great camera. Takes a little messing with to get the hang of the wifi and bluetooth function but once you get the hang of it it works great. I've always wanted a simple digital camera that can connect to my phone and this one is perfect for what I need. I am not a professional nor do I want to be. This takes beautiful clear pictures and I can share the ones I want easily. The color is really cool too ( avery bright purple) comes with all you need and an easy to charge battery. Case and strap too. ... show more

  • Good Camera
Color: Black
I bought this camera for $209 for a vacation I was planning. I think it is good to rate an object proportionately. For example, it is not realistic to expect SLR results from a $200 camera, which I was tempted to do, because of my (high) expectations. This is a wonderful camera for its price. The pictures are very clear (I am very demanding when it comes to pictures, but I want a simple camera to use for a short period), especially if you use the Automatic setting. The videos are very good. The automatic resolution is set to 1280; so, if you want a 1080 resolution, you have to change it. Over all, this a good camera and I love it. ... show more

  • Great camera
Color: Black
So far this camera works like the rest. Some reviews say that the WiFi is an issue. This camera hooked up to my WiFi app with no issues. Disclaimer: Remember when you buy anything that is WiFi you must keep in mind your WiFi strength, if you have slow WiFi you will get slow WiFi on anything you connect and the more devices you connect will slow WiFi down more. I felt that was a need for the WiFi experts that buy devices and complain how bad it is to connect too. The picture quality is good and will compare to any other camera in this price range. Would say all around great for the money. ... show more

  • So far a terrific camera for the price
Color: Purple
So far a terrific camera for the price. And the color is very cool too! Still learning the different features, having some difficulty with setting up the wi-fi app.
